5 Dynamic Stretching Flows
Read the full post and text descriptions here: (redefiningstrength.com/5-quick...)
If you want to move better and feel better, you need to move more throughout the day.
You also need to make sure that your workout program includes a proper warm up routine.
The more you can stretch out and loosen up everything that gets tight from sitting hunched over a computer all day, the better you are going to feel and move while also preventing and alleviating injury!
Below are 5 Quick Stretching Flows you can use throughout the day or if you are in need of a quick warm up.
Do not skip your warm up just because you are short on time! A proper warm up is essential to helping you move better and get the most out of your workouts.
1. Dynamic Squat Flow (0:10)
2. Side to Side Flow (1:21)
3. Pigeon Flow (2:21)
4. Inchworm Flow (3:30)
5. Runner's Lunge Flow (4:28)

Hi Maggie. These show options. I wouldn't do them all as a warm up. One flow and numerous rounds through is enough. And I have a follow along dynamic warm up video too already. :-)

I really like your videos. You are not the fittest or the rippest or the most athletic coach on youtube, but your movements are very clean and very interesting. I enjoy each video. you have some very functional and smart combos. By the way you looks like a great coach who enjoy her job. I'm a fitness coach and parkour head coach from France, and your videos give me a lot of ideas. A lot of your moves are usefull in a parkour training. Keep going, you are doing a beautiful work with your youtube channel. I just want to say thank you

Hi! Thanks! You know I really do enjoy my job! As a fellow coach you know that a great coach is not defined by their own abilities but by what they can help others accomplish! Our focus should always be on providing benefit and information to help others grow not solely on improving our own abilities. :-) Hope the videos continue to inspire you so you can help your clients!

As a fairly strong 53 y.o. man....I've had myriad sports injuries...that frankly leave me in the 'desk jockey' division of life now. Ahhh.....I've always done passive stretching...and dynamic stretching without having the "actual" terms well know to myself. Now....with constant...or nearly constant lower back pain...and post op's to my left knee: ACL and medial meniscal work done...it's hard to get much of a range of motion.
@redefiningstrengthOC

I would definitely start out mobilizing your hips and activating your glutes and core. Of course PT will be key but those things will be great to include after.

I live in upstate NY...and I'm trying to find someone who can help me.....it takes much more than a mere MD or PT to figure our my problem. One day I'm fine...the next day...I can hardly move, due to extreme back pain. So....correct,...physical strength means little, if one "needs to act like one is in a catatonic state"....not to feel pain. God just makes some of us to thrive...and some of us to suffer...it's that simple...we all bear burdens though...that's what makes Heaven worth the wait. Thanks young lady....if you're ever in Albany, NY....send me a note.

0:59 will fuck up your knees. I speak from personal experience. Other than that this is good.
@redefiningstrengthOC
@redefiningstrengthOC 5 жыл бұрын
That move actually shouldn't mess up your knees unless done incorrectly. But if done incorrectly a basic squat can. You probably have some other imbalances you need to address so that you didn't load properly with the shift.
