Hello Angela. Thank you for this tutorial. I watched it when it 1st came out but I hadn't started painting then. Now I've painted my 1st few painting & discovered I really need some practice with my brushes. My dexterity and control is not where I'd like it nor can I get the type of thin lines out of my brushes like I'd like so practice, practice, practice. I really have liked this video and I'll be using your printable as well. Any other ways I can practice I'd love to know so if there's another edition of this type rolling around in your head I'd be receptive to it!
@thankfulart8 жыл бұрын
+Ashs Vision I am so glad to get this feedback. Great to know this is being used. When doing lines be sure to stabilize your arm and wrist, use a high flow paint (thinned with water), and a good brush twisted to a point. Always lead with your hand. Drag behind instead of pushing. Good luck with your practicing! I will keep this in mind for some more videos. Thank you!

what brand of brush are you using, im not getting the same look as you, is it because im brand new or im I using cheap brushes?
@barbikangaroo89444 жыл бұрын
Hi Angela, I just started painting a month ago, so my question will probably sound silly but... In this video are you practicing with your book on a table top or on the easel?
@thankfulart4 жыл бұрын
Anything under 16" or so I just hold it in my hand or use a table. I usually move the painting around a lot to adjust the angle to make it easier. Larger canvases you can use a tabletop easel. Anything over about 20-24" you will want a standing easel. :)
@barbikangaroo89444 жыл бұрын
@@thankfulart thank you so much for not only the answer but for the speedy response! 😊 I had thought because this video was an older one it would of taken a month, if at all. I really love your paintings. 🤗

im having trouble finding simply Simmons brushes that cinnamon uses are your brushes as good as those. cant find the extra firm filament bright # 2,4,6,8,10,12 extra firm filbert #10 ,6 . fan with stiff brush. i have very little money and need to make sure i buy the correct supplies for her art quest and videos and your videos
@thankfulart7 жыл бұрын
+Angel Ottaway I think Michael's sells them. I like the Robert Simmons Titanium too. The stiff brushes won't work as well for detailed brush strokes though. The white Taklon brushes from masters touch (Hobby Lobby) or the Princeton Select are a good alternative and inexpensive.
