FYI The GEKU resistance band bar that you have linked to has been changed from the easy load rotation to the circular rotation ring that requires triangle links or carabiners to attach bands.

I was able to get an order in when it was still showing the 'X3' style of options. Hopefully it still arrives. Delivery is pushed out to middle of december though. Jaquish probably squashed it

I think they keep selling out. If they can't keep up I may try another option so people can get it more consistently. I think they are re-using a sales page from before as the other options were there when I bought it.

Great video, whst is your rep speed,cadance,,on the exercises in the video? Your form is outstanding.

Thanks! I try for a 6 second full rep (3 sec up, 3 sec down) but I think I was a little faster in these shots. The goal is to reduce sheering forces on the joints, while keeping tension on the muscle. I have gone slower, but I just don't like it.

You still liking that new bar? Im considering upgrading from my innstar bar due to how easy it looks to switch bands.. and its a bit narrower which i knid of like for some workouts.

I've only used it for B-roll as I am finishing up my 3 month test with the Speediance Gym Monster. For the B-roll, it has been awesome and definitely something I am excited to test more heavily to start 2024.

Do u recommend the sunpow or the undersun resistance bands ??

The Sunpow are a little "tighter" but in going with them again, I like them a lot. They are also cheaper. I used to say UnderSun, but in the b-roll shots for this video, I enjoyed the Sunpow a lot. I will be testing with them again in a 3 month test to start 2023, so I'll have more after that.

I'm an advocate of good form/technique but also not against a little bit of cheating and body english in order to lift a bit heavier. You have to expose your body to heavy challenging loads and form breakdown is inevitable. If you always focus on strict optimal form then your progress will be very slow as opposed to a bit looser form. As long as you're still stimulating the muscle and not turning a bicep curl into a back and hip movement, I think it's acceptable. You have VERY good form as evident in your videos, keep up the good work.

Thanks for the form check :) I do disagree you need to cheat reps though. The main reason is that as soon as you do, you will recruit additional muscles not meant for the exercise to assist, and opens you up to a greater risk of injury (even if small) I recommend staying in perfect form and doing your best to add a little more resistance over time. Some days you will feel stronger than others, but as long as you pick a resistance in the target range you want, and take the muscle as close to failure as you can without breaking form, you will fatigue it enough to stimulus for muscle growth. Strength is more skill + efficiency (with good genetics and training) so practice perfect form, then us progressive overload to slowly get better. My personal goal isn't to lift a lot of weight/resistance, it is to target a muscle and generate a fatigue for an anabolic response. That can be done with lighter weights, but I like to stick with one that lets me do between 5-10 in order to keep my workouts shorter.

You want to be able to lift heavier? Do the exercise slower using the same weight, or use a heaver weight and do less reps(without cheating) for a month or so, then go back to the lighter weight you were using before, but add two to three pounds, depending on what body part you are working. At five feet three the latter one above was how I was able to squat well over three hundred pounds, at a body weight of 140lbs, and dead lifted over four hundred pounds years ago. I never had to cheat…not even once. Now, I use bands because it’s way better and safer than free weights….I don’t have to do more than one set, but with a minimum of fifteen to forty reps.

The feet should be separated laterally by 10 degrees. Otherwise, the knees will experience an anatomically incorrect load and twist the knee joint.

What are your referring too? For squats, I do point my toes out slightly so they are not directly forward (in a squat). May be hard to tell in the video, but also not sure what exercise you are looking at.

Some people don't even know how to use good form with free weights let alone doing it with bands. Some are more into ego lift than doing the exercise right. You see them in the gym all the time, struggling to even do their first rep with very poor form, and if you saw them outside the gym, you would never think they have ever put on foot in a gym.
