I was not very happy with Fitbit Charge 5 . After a little more than a year it stopped working. Just in time to be out of warranty. All the sensors in the back went off, heart beats not working, steps counting not working, the battery was depleting in 1,30 hour, the screen was not turning on rotating the wrist. Fitbit Support made me do several resets, partials and totals, turning OFF the GPS, but no results. Obviously there are issues in quality of the used materials or engineering given the fact that many people are complying about the same issues . At the end the only thing Fitbit Customer Support was able to do , after 4 Chats with them about troubleshooting, is to give me 35% discount for a new one .... Ohh yes I will get a new one,.... definitely NOT a Fitbit, and I don't care if I will have to pay 200%! Bye bye Fitbit

Love my Geku bar and the extra fittings you can buy for them. You can buy 2 more triangle fittings and use the two short bits of the bars to make single hand grips. You can also get clip on round ends to use the bar with tubes instead of flat bands. You can then use the bar with say the mini tubes from PTP or the short 12 inch flat bands for deadlifting which is perfect for short people like me.

Thank you for your videos! I purchased a Speediance about 9 months ago based partly on your reviews and I am loving it. On getting pinned, it was a major concern of mine; for this you can use assist mode as you mentioned or if you are stuck you can tilt one side of the barbell (much like you would with weights) and the weight will deactivate.

its the inverse powercurve of regular weights. combine it and grow even bigger
@GamerBody
@GamerBody 13 сағат бұрын
No it is not. Resistance bands provide linear variable resistance. Weight do not have variable resistance at all. Also, the strength curve does not match up the opposite way with free weights. For example, a standard dumbbell strength curve goes from weak > strong > weak and you are strongest near the midline of the movement. Free weights match this pretty well based on the moment arm throughout the range of motion. Resistance bands have a curve of east > weak, but it does not go back to easy. Now not all exercises will follow this same strength curve but adding resistance bands does not correct the problem unfortunately.

@@GamerBody resistance band go from medium to heavy. How do i know ? I'm using them every time. You need to start already in a slightly stretch position, and yes the classic power curve is not 100% linear, no one said so but you. The resistant bands still apply inverse to your free weights, if you skip the nonsense with the last bit of nothing you do at the ends. I would reconsider the entire exercise, if it's like that. People misunderstand the stretch, stretch should be applied with force(be careful, it's very dangerous if you have never done it before, start with close to zero, as most of you have no clue and never trained that way and no, the useless part of your exercise does nothing(easy>hard>easy).)

Some KZfaqrs said that you got to train muscles in their most stretched positions, so bands are useless. But my experience proved otherwise. I got good results with bands, sometimes even better results than I got with gym equipment. So I'm gonna keep using bands. They feel good and the results are also good.

It's another fad type of training that won't matter for the vast majority of people. Intensity of effort and making sure the muscle is brought to or close enough to failure to generate a muscle building stimulus is all that is needed. I do add in 2 partial reps art the end, but that is just to make sure I have nothing left in the tank.

Since I am sitting and facing away from the screen, and all of the resistance pulls towards it doing a seated chest press, I was thrown backwards at the screen the bench flew backward with me as my back went into it - caused the legs infront of where I was looking to go up in the air and launch me towards the screen/vertical bars.

Regarding your partial reps... I've started doing heavier sets at the start of my workout. So like 5-10 reps heavier, until failure and I can only do partial reps.. do one or two partial reps at the end, then for my next set or two ill drop the weight a bit and go for between 8 and 15 reps (just keep going until failure). This allows me to burn out the lower end of the muscle with the heavier resistance then the later sets that are lighter I can burn out the higher end of the muscle with the lighter weight. I started doing this and it's helped me get through some plateaus.

HIT training is the best, just difficult to market, profit off of, and why it's not pushed because theirs little money to be made by the gyms sector. I have iornmaster 90lb dumbbells, and 1 year into training it's still fine although my shoulder press is at 75lb now. I focus unilateral exercises as they are superior to bilateral exercises in all forms except time efficiency ( takes a bit longer to do , not by much), at my 2 year mark I'll need to upgrade to 120lb. If you plan on training 5 years, you'll get to 120lb , that being said getting iornmaster , rep x pep is probably your best bet. A goal should be to use the weights to get in lean shape & strength to transition to advanced calisthenics. Doing 1 arm pull up, 1 arm handstand push up, as weights & machines are tool to help do this. Lower body will continue to need weights. I'm a 155lb man , if I can shoulder press another adult man with 1 arm for a few reps that will please me. Eventually what a 1 arm handstand push up is
@GamerBody
@GamerBody 6 күн бұрын
I don't know your rep speed, but if you are going pretty fast, trying slowing that down 1st. I disagree that unilateral is better, but might be required if the weight you have isn't enough for what you are working on. Time is also a major factor for most people who are just trying to get in a workout during the day, especially as you grow into a family. Keep up the good work though, impressive OHP!

How has the bar held up since this review? I purchased the X3 and tried it for the first time today. I really don’t like the usable length of it at 19” (21-1/2 full length which includes the rotational caps that you can’t put your hands on). At $600 for the bar, bands, and foot plate. I’d say it’s not worth it if others are manufactured just as solid which is one pro. This thing is solid and rotates really well. It also has virtually zero side to side play if you were to try and push on the hooks parallel with the bar. The hooks are just 3” wide which I guess accommodates most band widths but not all.

I like the GEKE a lot and it being a bit longer is a big plus. Before it, I used the INNSTAR resistance bands bar (39in bar) which was a little long, but not too bad. 19" Seems way to small for me, but if you travel a lot it may be helpful to put into a bag. I think that was part of the initial design as to why it is so short. I actually just got the Serios Steel bands (2nd time after snapping the Sunpow) so Ill be putting in more tests, but so far so good.

@@GamerBody that’s great. I’m glad to hear the Geku bar has held up for you. Much less expensive alternative. I was curious because some exercises/bands can put some serious load on the bar hooks. There is one popular reviewer on YT that said his triangle hooks on the Geku looked bent but they still functioned normally. He also said the inner metal was not smooth and had some manufacturing defects with rough edges where the inner triangle curves. Thanks for the reply. This is great info.

I'll typically take creatine and EAAs right before working out to get me through a fasted workout, but then I'll break my fast after working out with more protein as well as some simple carbohydrates. Out of curiosity, I see a number of different types of equipment/workout styles in this video. Which type of workout are you personally doing these days and how often?

3 days a week (except this week I was testing 2 resistance training days). This week I also did only dumbbells and bodyweight, but prior to that, I did a few weeks of resistance bands, and prior to that, I ran a 3 month test with the Speedance Gym Monster. So kind of bouncing around, but normally stick with 1 style for a couple months, unless I am testing something specific.

So while it is not the exact same as free weights, you can certainly generate the stimulus for muscle growth to occur.

They can. Free weights are better. Free weights and bands. Nuclear. The problem with bands is alone tthey release too much resistance in the bottom, which is very hypertrophic.
@GamerBody
@GamerBody 7 күн бұрын
The only thing that matters is that a great enough stimulus is generated during a set. I agree that it could make a set easier with the reduced tension of the band in the stretched position, but know that it isn't the stretch that is the key, it is that you are at a disadvantage in most exercises based on actin/myosin overlap to generate force in the muscle. Because of this, it requires more effort in the stretched position which may lead to a stimulus for muscle growth, but it is not the optimal place for most exercises because not as many muscle fibers can be recruited since you have less overlap as mentioned above. This may work for those who heavily track their workouts, but most people I talk to do no. I recommend technical failure for this reason - to make sure you do enough work, with a high enough intensity, to get the stimulus to build muscle at rest. If you leave reps in reserve, without really knowing your failure number, you may not see much in the way of results since you are leaving more reps than you think in the tank.
