The first story about the plumbers was quite frightening. Sounds like plumber Rick saved the life of his boss.

Three things are shocking in this context, but sadly true: 1) you're far more likely to get assaulted by someone you know than someone who never saw you before. 2) The same goes for murder. In particular if there has been violence before. 3) People refuse to believe that someone they know and like would do such a thing. Some women even get jealous when their husband assaults someone!

Dawn, your instincts were right. Mr. Thompson absolutely had bad intentions toward you. No upstanding man gets a young girl alone in a car and starts telling her how miserable his marriage is and asking her about her boyfriends. Your mom failed you by brushing off your concerns. If your instincts are telling you something or someone is dangerous, listen. Don't brush that feeling off or let anyone else pooh pooh you.

Warning about water: A few inches of running water can flush you down a slope! A foot and electric wiring can become a deathtrap (due to the height of the wiring). Plus, lights may go out and a basement can be a very dark place... Two feet and the water pressure is too big to open a door, if your side has no water. Three feet above the start of a window and the glass breaks.

Thats just sickening what that father/husband did. Its his fault why he's unhappy in his marriage. What makes him and others think that its attractive to say to someone else that youre unhappy in your relationship? If someone says that to you, its a reflection of who they are... Selfish and weak
