When you apply for a marriage-based green card, one of the most important parts of the case is to show that your marriage is real and that it not a sham. One of the ways you prove that your marriage is real is by including the right documents with your case. In your perspective, what goes first, work the 601 waiver, then NVC or viceversa? I already have the NVC welcome email but according to the lawyer she said its best to work on the waiver. I have second thoughts because Im the one suffering not the lawyer. I've 2 years w/o my husband, US Citizen petioning husband.

Not yet. We’re still waiting for the schedule of interview. But i received my working permit/travel permit and ss. I dont know how some can get those right away. Or especially their ssn.

You can add-mutual life insurance i.e., each one is the other's beneficiary, also proofs of going to trips (pics+boarding passes) abroad together, mobile phone bills showing same address, or family deals

How about if your filing for someone over seas? You can’t exactly have a lease agreement or power bills with them. For example we have a joint bank account but she can’t directly deposit money because of the currency difference.

What if your in a country that makes it difficult to have a joint bank account? In Morocco unless you have a lot of money buying a car or taking a vacation in so difficult. How do you get these requirements if you can’t because of the country your in or can’t afford many of the proofs they want?

I have submitted Married certificates Joint Cell phone bill Affidavit my uncle give my marriage is real Credit cards, health insurance Taxes together Dental, vision insurance together Photos together not with family because we live along from family Life insurance Banks statements We don't have properties yet and we don't have a lease we are renting a room Driver license same address I believe that is enough

@@shamilabarkat5798overall from USCIS to NVC we needed the marriage certificate, his birth certificate, his police records(took about 5-6 months get from Haiti police department), his passport pictures, his passport, bank account that had both our names on it, support letters from family and friends, my tax return for financial support,all my travel Intinery(showed proof I traveled actively to see him), my divorce paper from previous marriage, documentation on money transfers when I send him money, screenshots of our calls/video calls, lots & lots of pictures. We are documentarily approved 🙏🏻 awaiting next step. Mimes went by pretty quick, because I had everything ready, but when sent to NVC,the police certificate took us the longest to get(amid the crisis going on in Haiti). Good luck

How's is possible to open and run a joint account when sponsor is a us citizen n living in US while the applican is living abroad in his native country, my wife tried to get me a credit card in US but denied becuase I have don't have a green card nor USCIS, and banks in my country denied to open a joint account unless my wife came to Pakistan which is impossible because of travel restrictions due to covid19

Great question, from the time USCIS receives your case, you should receive a receipt notice confirming that they have received your case within 1 roughly 2-4 weeks.

This is very hard when I am an Australian citizen working in Australia, all his life in the security industry and have recently got engaged to a female medic from the air force in the US. None of your steps would work in our case nonetheless our engagement is still 100% real, and we do have a bitcoin account that’s about as best as we have right now as a joint couple being that we live in two different countries. We both put money into her bitcoin account, so we can save up a deposit for a home over there, my wages over here gets sent to her to hold the deposit, so we can buy a home with her realtor in Salt Lake City. Any advice??
