I saw Petunia's rescue video, and saw this! I thought this was a different axlotyl! Shes got so much more color, and shes gained weight! And her gills are so pink and frilly and adorable! Also, her arm looks a bit better too (or am I imagining that?) Fantastic job! ❤

So I feed the birds and squirrels and they're happy, and I try to do my best at yardwork and housework. We coexist with many things that need not fear us for coexisting. Not many people realize that bullying anything or anyone is actually NOT OURN NATURE😊

i feel like, as theyre very inbred in captivity, and about to die out in the wild, it would be better for the survival of the species to get some of that wild genetic diversity into the captive ones while we still can... but i cant think of a way that would be safe bc even if you were to manage keeping a wild one alive to breed and then release again, youd have to worry about introducing new illnesses etc into the wild... maybe through like. fucking cloning or something. but you'd likely STILL stress out a wild animal and potentially cause harm through that :(

Hello! I got an axolotl today from someone who was moving and could not take her axolotl with her, the axolotl looks healthy but one thing concerns me a bit, they're a little more tiny that an averge axolotl (even though they are 10) but the thing that worries me the most is that their gills are small, they still look healthy and colorful but they are just a bit tiny and i was wondering if it was something to be concerned over? If anyone could help me it would be a great help, this is my first time owning an axolotl

I'm planning on getting an axolotl very soon, I have installed a bunch of hides, a good filter, and I tried to find sechem prime water conditioner but they don't sell it here but they did have an api water conditioner, the water temp is around 60-62 Fahrenheit, and the pH scale is close to alkaline.
