I claimed my samples a while back. Wish we could get samples of all of them and then make our own package deal. Unfortunately they are very expensive, but I did enjoy a few of the flavors. Citrus was one of my favorite! I am an insulin dependent diabetic and test daily. But I don't use it to check how I react to certain foods. My glucose levels are better since beginning keto. I've only lost a few pounds, but I am more concerned with my readings. Also I understand not having a gallbladder changes things. I still have to take insulin, but eventually I hope that changes. Be well ladies!

Counting calories and weighting food and tracking points is why I failed at every diet I tried. It's just too much work and so annoying to have to do. I don't track anything and reached my goal weight two months ago . I love keto. ❤

When I first started Keto I ate SO much fat. I added fat to EVERYTHING! I had probably almost 1/4 cup heavy cream to my morning tea (yes, I drink my tea like a brit), added butter to all veg, added oil to the pan for all meat, and ate SO MUCH sausage :) After I plateaued I figured out I was eating too many calories now that I was fat adapted, so I stopped adding all that fat.

Thank you both for being easy to understand and have fun with. I have been following you on KZfaq for six months. I have lost 48 pounds so far. I have a long way to go since I started at 320. I am close to seventy years old and have a lot of mobility issues. So walking and exercise are out. I was big my whole life. But now I can’t carry this weight around anymore. It’s too painful. Bless you. I have learned so much from your channel. And will continue watching your progress. Because FINALLY I am showing progress, too.

Good on you for your progress so far. I'm 65 and weighed over 300 lbs most of my life but since February last year lost 90 pounds doing ketovore and I love those keto twins because they keep it simple. I got a whole lot more to lose but I am happy about the results and progress and have adopted a lifestyle and I am adapting well. Keep up the good work. It's NEVER too late to change and you get your life back. My clothes are looser, my joints way less painful and life is better.

I agree..Some tubers can become obsessed. So much to the point every food is looked upon as evil. I just eat plain keto food and have got to know what foods I can eat. I can eat a small portion of carrots now and then without a spike..Some may have a spike we are all different. I don't want to spend my whole day every day thinking about food. Tonight for dinner I will be having steak fried in butter and garlic greens and mushrooms. No fuss and nothing to think about. No stress.

“If you have doubts about what you’re eating, don’t eat it”. Never a truer statement! “Don’t drink your calories” is also one of the best pieces of advice for anyone trying to lose weight AND keep it off, as in a lifestyle change. Can you lose weight on a shake diet? Of course you can! Can you maintain that WOE for a lifetime? Unlikely. I haven’t been able to completely cut cream from my tea, but try to keep it at a reasonable amount 😉 As for blood sugar testing, adding exogenous keystones etc, if you’re into that scientific type stuff, go for it. Just don’t get bogged down by it or allow it to derail your journey. Thank you ladies for another great video!

I don’t like black coffee either, but another useful purpose for pre made protein drinks , is as a creamer. One of them can work mixed with a large coffee (as a mocha meal replacement), a double shot of espresso (as a delicious iced latte meal on the go from Starbucks), or in your fridge used a few T at a time.

I'm kinda sad about the coffee issue.. I love my 2 cups with a half a cup of cream every morning and yet I know drinking it black would increase my weight loss and my fasting period, which I pretend is 18 hours but is really 16 because of the cream. Sounds funny saying it, but I'm just not ready to do that, and not sure I ever will be. 🤷‍♀

Let me say at the outset that I am truly NOT triggered by anything you said in this video. I will say though, that I have bought a glucose monitor because both my husband and I have been diagnosed as pre-diabetic (which is why we’re doing Keto in the first place) so we need to keep track of what does and does not spike our blood sugars until we know what is safe/unsafe for us to eat since everyone is a little different. Once that has been established we will probably not be as careful about tracking as we are now. I do agree that no one needs keto police in their lives. We all need to do what we need to do for our own health and keep our opinions to ourselves unless asked (like you did here 😉😁). I enjoy your channel and videos very much. 💗😊

If you follow the food groups for keto your Bsgr won’t spike. Don’t worry about the less than 20 carbs a day. Eat until your full. You may not lose a lot of weight at first but your Bsgr will normalize within days. Stay away from the fat bombs at first. I’m diabetic. In 3 months no weight loss but A1C fell q point a month.

I am also prediabetic or should I say was. I bought a monitor in the early stages then ditched it once I got to know what keto friendly foods were. Constantly taking the glucose test can stress some people out. Reading and researching has told me..If it has more than 5 ingredients on the back of a packet it will probably be a sugar spike. Plain food is the way to go. I will not buy goodies from Amazon they are not all keto friendly even if it says that it is.

Ditto - pre-diabetic. I only use it when I've gotten off track to encourage me to get back on. Too easy for me to fall into the trap of "one more cookie won't hurt". Also, for those approaching the Alzheimer's years, pre-diabetes is a major factor in that disease. It pays to be a little more serious about clean keto without going bonkers and measuring everything.

I love that you’re not all into those items and showing that yes, you can lose weight without using them. I never used the ketone strips, and while I tried the keto chow shakes, I didn’t care for them because I like eating my calories too. Now…once in a while, I did like putting butter into my coffee, but just because it tasted good, lol.

This was very thought provoking for me. I started healthy keto and IF 3 months ago and I’ve lost 50 pounds so far. For me, I avoid these things as well, because I want to ride the wave of success in getting great nutrition as I lose weight. I have a long history with crazy dieting and obsessing and a lot of these things are like flirting with danger for me. The one thing that I’ve been doing that I think I need to stop, is adding fat to my coffee. I used to drink it black until keto. I need to go back to that. Thank you!

You should cold brew your coffee in the fridge and there is no bitter taste. I do drink one cup coffee a day, and add sugar free Creamer (choc-Carmel coffee mate- nothing fancy) and it’s 15 cal. And 2 carbs. To me, it’s worth it.

I have one KetoChow shake per day. On my first order, I thought “this is going to be BS just like SlimFast” but I was desperate for something EASY that I could grab and go and would actually replace a meal (in other words, make me feel full). I was stunned when it actually worked. LOL It keeps me satiated for 6-7 hours and I love it. My husband takes his for lunch every day and he loves it too! But, everyone is different. I really love that the video acknowledges that none of us have to do keto the way anyone else does. So few do that. It’s always “if you’re not doing this you’re wrong!!” (My eyes hurt from rolling so much.) Do what works for you and move on! 🤷‍♀️ (And along the same lines, let other people do what works for them! None of us are the arbiter of what is or isn’t “keto.”)

2KrazyKetos has a recipe on their website for making Keto Chow ice cream in a high powered blender, if you don't have a Ninja Creami or ice cream maker. It makes a soft serve that is yummy. I actually omit the HWC and make it with coconut milk (that comes in the carton not the can) and enjoy it just as muc as the kind with the HWC in it. I prefer to get most of my fat intake from the protein I eat. I also tried a recipe for Keto Mason Jar ice cream that is made with HWC. It is so easy and absolutely delicious. I've only made it once though as a special treat as it is quite high in fat.

Well said, you two. You/we could go further to more overtly focus on protein as a key macronutrient, but that's certainly implied, by process of elimination and deduction. Thanks.

I stumbled upon your You Tube site about 2 weeks ago. I love your videos and the dialogue you have about everything. You are both very relatable. I appreciate all of the information and recipes. I do have one suggestion if I may kindly put this out there. Although I appreciate the sponsors who sell Keto products, I know that you and you Twin sister are extremely intelligent and very capable of actually cooking from scratch. So many folks lost their jobs and are still scrambling financially and there is no way they could afford all these Keto items for their daily meals. They will get more bang for their buck buying fresh produce. Although I can totally appreciate that meal prepping or creating a nutritious salad might take 15 minutes and some meals a person would simply like to treat themselves to something quick and pre-processed, I really think it is important to establish cooking from scratch. Not every viewer has the financial resources to be purchasing such a humongous array of foods and let's be honest, clean, pure and fresh will always far outweigh a microveable dinner plus we can eat more nutritional foods and less sodium and fat which ultimately is improving our health and is a huge factor if going Keto whether strict or lazy keto. Personally I haven't bought 1 pre-processed food in probably a year in a half. I have only eaten out in a restaurant once in that same time period, acually closer to 2 years! I would like to extend that challenge to you ladies, to dramatically reduce the packages of Keto this and Keto that and cook every recipe from scratch using wholesome foods and herbs and seasonings. That one small decision assists in redistributing the way our body displays the weight on its frame. Just some food for thought. I know learning to cook from scratch is such a valuable skill and it makes ordering off the menu when we do decide to go out and treat ourselves or take a vacation so much easier. Respectfully, a viewer who admires you both for your dedication to the Channel.

Appreciate your take on functional keto. I did start w keto test strips and was so frustrated on not getting the results I was expecting but then finally understood my body had fat adapted and wasn’t spilling ketones. I also drink a lot of coffee (trying to hold to 1/2 pot) a day and rarely add in fats but I do use stevia. Been doing Keto since Feb and in 6 mos lost 30 lbs and dropped A1c from 6.5 to 5.7

Thank you for this common sense approach. I followed the Dt Atkins book many years ago. I had chronic liver disease and didn’t lose weight on his diet. So he had a chapter of what to do if his approach didn’t work. He had you add certain fats and cut carbs even more. I tried it. That didn’t work for me either. My liver is better now and I use a more relaxed approach to keto, not as relaxed as you. But relaxed for me. I have lost 80 pounds and am maintaining. Again, thanks for what you do for this community.

Tried my first FACTOR meal and it was really good. Portion kind of small but ate a huge salad with it. My late husband was an executive chef and I think even he would say it’s good. So kind of expensive (but comparable to Nutri System) but if you’re a working professional wanting to do Keto this is a great option.

I’m new to keto and it’s nice to know these items are not necessary. There are so many places to get information it becomes confusing. I do have shakes but I’m finding they do a number on my stomach. It’s great to know good food choices are all I need to be successful.

I have found over the long run that the simpler I keep my lifestyle, the easier it is for me to keep control. So energy bars, shakes, processed foods aren't easier, they are a complication I don't want and don't need. Like with most things advertising says we need, look at who stands to benefit, and 9 times out of 10, it aint you, but you'll be the guy who's paying out.

For me, I use a couple of the things you guys don't. I use a monitor to test ketones when I do extended fasting beyond 72hrs. My ketones tend to go high with extended fasting and I feel great so I use it as a way of knowing if I need to stop a fast before I want to because of getting too close to ketoacidosis. I also use HWC in my tea, but I only drink one cup and use 1 - 2 tbsp of cream. I keep some shakes or protein powder around because I don't eat every day and if I don't feel like eating much on the days when I do eat I need to have the shakes to add to my calories. Everything else is meat, eggs, and veggies.

Thank you, I have never heard of the 2nd thing on your list, which gives you ketones, I am pleased to say. I did however buy a Ketone monitor, where you need to prick your finger and test your blood because I didn't know if I would know when I was in ketosis, I have never used it and at £30 it was a waste of my money because I knew when I was in ketosis because I didn't feel hungry. I have bought MCT oil, but that just gave me abdominal pains, so didn't use it for long. It is nice to get your points of view and I understand you are trying to help others, and I really appreciate your efforts. I have never counted my macro's because that would be the difference between me following this lifestyle or not, as I don't have the energy to do these things and I have lost weight satisfactorily without doing so.
