Love your videos!!💕I changed my major to accounting and I’m so nervous but excited to start the upper business classes in the spring! Could it be possible if you make a video on how having the CPA vs not having the CPA limits your chances on landing a job? I really would like to work for the government or an oil company as an accountant but I’m unsure whether they want accountants to have the CPA. Thank you so much again☺️
@HeavensAudventure5 жыл бұрын
Aw yay we gained another future accountant!! Haha I remember how nervous and excited I was when I changed my major from business to accounting. That is a good idea for a video - I have something similar on my list now waiting for the time I'm not studying to sit down and make videos haha I'm slacking! I work in State government now and the CPA is not required but we did have to have the 150 credit hours on our transcript before even applying for the job since they do encourage the license. But I will have to make a video to go more in depth - thanks for the suggestion!

Thank you so much for this video! I am an accounting assistant for a private corporate office. And know nothing about accounting . I’m starting my sophomore year. I take intermediate accounting can you if you haven’t already give me more insight what it’s about? I’ve heard it was the make or break you class. I currently have 30 credit hours and have a 4.0 GPA but hearing about intermediate accounting is scaring me😀😂

@@HeavensAudventure I am scared about retaining information long-term. Is accounting memory-based?
@HeavensAudventure3 жыл бұрын
@@user-qy6tu9ip9v no, it's a math. You learn how to do accounting and then you go from there and build on those skills to continue learning more. You don't memorize anything in real practice. In school you'll memorize things for exams as you will any other degree

@HeavensAudventure4 жыл бұрын
Autumn Beauty if your high school offers accounting, then absolutely! Mine didn't. Although unless there's any college credit involved, you would still have to take everything in college. But high school would be a good place to see if you like it!

I am currently in my second year in taking Accounting and it's making my head split into two. I already had breakdown into tears and question myself why did I choose this course. I always say I wanted to quit but in the end of the day I don't wanna quit.
@HeavensAudventure3 жыл бұрын
It's a mindset! Accounting is challenging, and it only gets tougher the further along you go, but you can get through it! I'd definitely recommend getting a tutor for as many accounting classes as you can, and never missing a homework assignment. You really can achieve anything if you want it bad enough!

Hi , im in the second year taking financial accounting class but its very difficult and i could say i dont understand like even 1% of whats the lecturer is talking about and my interest in accounting is zero. Is it my fault was accounting my bad choice is it this hard for everyone it really doesnt make sense all those numbers are killing me i really want to know how to study it is there a possible way for me to understand financial accounting i cant find motivation to sit and take a look at the assignments and the books it just truly makes me die . HELP!
@HeavensAudventure4 жыл бұрын
Jonida Lloga does your program have any tutors you could sit down with? I was an accounting tutor in college and helped non-accounting majors get through those 2 accounting courses for business majors. I don't want to be discouraging at all - but it gets a lot harder in more advanced accounting classes haha I easily aced my first couple accounting classes but struggled in advanced accounting. I wish you success!!

Is accounting hard? I’m about to switch to the major in college for my freshman year but I’m freaking out
@brittaneeramos37694 жыл бұрын
It is a pretty hard major in the sense that it is so demanding but it’s also very rewarding. You may be busy and need to study for hours longer than some of your friends, but once you understand what you’re learning, it’s amazing. You feel like the smartest person alive when you can fix a balance sheet or you get a great grade on a test. You also definitely need to go to class as well. And there’s no shortage of jobs! So as long as you’re up for the challenge, you have no reason to freak out. Stay cool, you got it girl!!
@HeavensAudventure4 жыл бұрын
It is a challenging field but don't feel intimidated! You'll know pretty quick into the major whether you'll like it or not. And if you do, there is great job stability and accounting is so rewarding in and out of work. And if you end up not liking it, that's okay too! But being on the other side and in my career for 2 years now, I absolutely love accounting and specifically - auditing. Good luck!!
