The way Mamamoo had horrible living conditions and did their make-up themselves for 2 years, fans made some of their outfits, were bullied and looked down of for their age, weight and looks, did 3/4 shows a day to get rid of their debt, even performed after getting into a car accident and now are some of the most respected artists in SK 😫❤️these girls have been working so hard, writing, producing, composing lots of songs themselves, choreographed their dances until 2019, their talents and hard work really payed off, I'm so proud of them

When Mamamoo debuted... No one came to see them literally no one 😭 especially on their first debut stage... But now they have millions of people and more hearing them every day... They literally saved Rbw , I am so proud to be a moomoo.. 🤗..

I know them since mid 2019 and while I don't think about them every second, they still are somehow a role model in telling me to ex. Be confident, be myself, love myself and just having fun and being serious but also playful with some things. Yes but I feel like every single one of these kind of videos need to at least mention IU. They saved a company with a group. iu saved a company by herself and basically created her own company later on. Even if iu is not a group she should be mentioned

Pledis had no concrete plan for SEVENTEEN _(hence the departure, allegedly, of some of the trainees like Samuel, Doyoon, MingMing, and Dongjin)_ because the company was not doing well financially. With the lack of budget, the boys decided to write their own songs, create their own choreos, style themselves, create their own merch, and they all presented these to the CEO, which later on decided to give the boys a chance. Six years since, SEVENTEEN is now Pledis' bread and butter. 🙌🏼

The way you described SEVENTEEN makes me feel like you know them so well. Thank you for emphasizing the REASON of their SUCCESS, not just the achievement itself. Seventeen didn't become well known out of luck, out of promotion, out of memes, and out of trend. Nada fancy backgrounds, nada fancy adlibs, nada fancy back ups, even if only 2/13 perform, they are natural eye catchers. "Debut song Adore You - the song was produced by the members themselves" "this simplicity with their impeccable talent were what made them shine" "Became the only album of a rookie nominated on the 10 Best K-pop Albums in 2015 by Billboard. "Second album - became the best album of a rookie" "Received three Rookie Awards" "17 also became the only K-pop group in Billboards Under 21: Music's Hottest Young Starts of 2015" They may not be the IT type of group to many, but if you perform on the same stage after them, be careful cause the floor is already broken 😂 😂 😂 Idols will fade out but true talent remains! To pledis Congrats for being able to collect 13 gems. You maybe the worst agency but thank you for making them suffer quite a little. 😂 The roots of all their motivation bore good fruit since day one. Thumbs up also to those other groups who made their companies turn 180 deg!

Mamamoo's success will always be so historic bc these girls came from such a SMALL company that basically has nothing to their name but talented artists and managed to not only be so successful and popular but also compete with the biggest names both as a group and as solisists

8:45 Pledis - Seventeen Pledis have great artists don't doubt that, all their artists are top notch but the reason why their on blink is because of mismanagement. some informant says that they are taking pity to pledis idols as their management is like a rookie or game play. Seventeen after having their debut on hiatus and no definite plan they took it themselves to learn the crafts (yes self producing is not just their title but means of surviving that time) VP whom handle Seventeen took a gamble seeing their potential and sold his house for Seventeen to debut. but that amount is not enough to cover the high quality mv or even a earphone for stage performances... Seventeen works in the environment that they need to take action on themselves (creating promotions, scouting the show's themselves, and the leader S.Coups making it to be part on every meeting with regard to Seventeen) Ofc I won't take Pledis works too (but again all they can do is just turn the gears that seventeen already put). now pledis is one of the top five most earning company for years with only 2 active groups. I won't take out Nuest & Loves on the equation as they are also doing so good (and much better if ONLY pledis gives them decent promotions!) But yeah Seventeen doesn't need Pledis, Pledis needs Seventeen

SEVENTEEN said it themselves(in GOSE Debate night S3) that if they had a time machine to travel to the past they wouldn't have their future selves tell their past selves that everything was gonna come through and they'll debut anyway. I say this because they would have been less passionate. Coming from a small company, the members knew that they had to do their very best in all departments ((A LOT WAS RIDING ON THAT btw))hence their 100% commitment to their work as idols and to us carats. HARDWORK DOES PAY OFF and that is my inspiration...

Mamamoo is the first and only kpop girl group for all members to have solo Albums. Im so Proud of my girls. Edit: they have now sold over a million album copies on Gaon and are the first non big 3 girl group to do so.

SEVENTEEN💎 All these groups came up the hard way. Mistreatment, zero fans, being looked down upon, lack of budget, etc. But their determination & hard work to survive paid off! I'm so proud of each and everyone of them. Some fans throw hate on these group's because of its popularity, but not many have seen 'behind the scenes', their hard work, their sheds of sweat and tears, their fear of uncertainties. Forever thankful to their fans for supporting, trusting, and loving them🧡

@@lilacx3439 yep especially big hit is associated with JYP almost entire gen 2 era. Gen 2 era is mainly big 3, but glad some other production houses manage to get attention too. The one that has so much downgrade is cube ent. It comes from very friendly agency to i don't know how to describe it.

Seventeen weren't at the Bottom at all, Seventeen had it easier than BTS as Seventeen was actually welcomed in Variety Show's and weren't treated as outcast's, Pledis had it easy compared to BigHit as it was already a well known company prior to Seventeen debut

SVT and BTS both did some busking to promote themselves. variety shows? its because Seungkwan who took initiative to promote himself and the group, calling everyone everytime he had change, thats why they got into variety shows. and since u dont know shit, svt didnt have ear monitors until DWC era since they couldnt afford it, some of the members even using their own headphones. they also didnt get paid until 2 years in the industry since they helped pledis to pay their debt and saved the company from backrupt. also lot of ppl were talking shit saying svt not gonna make it since no one knows them (little promo, etc) and they look so poor and stuff. u think in the industry its only bts who had rough life lmao sorry to burst ur bubble, its not only bts. lot of artists start from 0 too baby. u sounds dumb at this point saying svt werent at the bottom. and u know what. both SVT and MAMAMOO were at the bottom and both worked so hard to promote themselves and showed their talents. BTS had it easier. and if u talking about variety shows, maybe their the problem since their debut era they alread got scandal and shit 🤷🏻♀️ and dont talk like u know about other groups. and since im talking about svt and mamamoo and didnt say anything about bts, u shouldnt speak nonsense and brought bts to my argument.

I am an ArmyMoo and I am so proud of how both BTS and MAMAMOO are now both successful groups. I am so happy of how much they achieved. I will forever support them not just because of their looks and talents anymore, but because of how I got to know their Hearts more. i could not be more proud of mamamoo's success, rising from nothing to one of the (likely the most popular kpop girl group in 2018 - gosh 2018/2019 was mamamoo's year man)most successful groups out there. they had to choreograph their own dances during debut, do their own makeup and nothing was paved for them, they are the definition of reaping success from hard work

Actually no. SM at the time also had H.OT, S.E.S, and Shinhwa, all very famous. SM has never gone bankrupt.

@@marishkavito7378 SM was on the verge of bankcruptcy that's why LSM sent BOA to Japan to make a debut at the age of 13(I think?). Reason why Boa is the most respected Kpop Idol in SM even in the whole Kpop industry (as Kpop wasn't that popular in Japan anymore)

These girls were the first group to debut under RBW, it was a bet, if they didn't make it, the company would go bankrupt. But they did it. They are one of the biggest groups in the industry today. Respected for their talents, creativity, personality and image. In their debut stage they had 3 people ONLY coming (1 sister and 2 friends). They had been criticized for their looks, age and basically a lot of things. But they made it, through hard work and true talent. Honestly, RBW isn't the best. They suck when it comes to promotions but thanks to them MAMAMOO are a reference when it comes to self expression, songwriting, producing and being bold and carefree.

@@kerenrashish December 2023.. other moos said usually the second time contract renewal for artist will be shorten than the first one which means the moment wheein special contract with rbw end on December 2023, the rest also waiting for their contract with rbw to end. if I'm not mistaken the second contract 2 and a half year or 3 years.. I don't remember. correct me if I'm wrong.

I can’t imagine how overcome BTS had to be when thousands, hundreds of thousands know every word whether they speak Korean or not. They had no idea they were simply amazing. If you are new ARMY, look at their reaction when they won their first daesang. Some of them kept clapping after their name was called because they had no idea they could really win. No one outside of the big 3 had ever won a daesang. Sweetest moment ever.

Out of all the groups and labels Mamamoo.....they really are a true underdog story. When I say they had nothing I mean zero financial resources,they literally built themselves. They are known to be a self made group. The company was new at the time as well. MMM and RBW grew together. They did everything themselves to their own choreography, makeup, stylist, staging, planning....etc. EVERYTHING. AND they definitely didn't have the biggest support for succeeding because they were told to their face that they were going to fail. The CEO had people telling him not to debut the girls. But he didn't listen and look what happened. The reason why they were able to do Immortal Songs so much was after debuting they still was being shunned. So the first invite they said yes because they didn't have any activities. The didn't debut yet. They did so well the show kept asking the back and as time passed the show was a great way to introduce them. Going on the show was fate. They earned their debt through college festivals performances. They were the most sought out group because of their stage presence. And was one of the highest paid group because they are great performers. And let's not forget the only group to have all have solo careers as well as all being best selling artist as soloist and a group.

Well, RBW is not a publicly traded company so whoever made this video wouldn't know any exact details about their financials. Mamamoo certainly had a big impact for RBW but what people always forget is that RBW was one of the better, if not the best run small companies businesswise. Already in 2016 they had achieved the goal of only 40% of revenue coming from their idols and the rest from other activities. I think there is a reason their business side ceo has won several awards of his own.

Rather than twice I think you should have put GOT7. Twice definitely brought a large amount of money but debuting twice wouldn't have been possible if there was no got7. Got7 popularity is what put jyp on charts and gave them enough recognition. they also were the group that brought in the international sales. They were also a huge hit when they released hard carry. So they were the foundation used for building twice. So I think got7 saved jyp entertainment

Do your research...it was GOT7 who got jype out of debt after Miss A. GOT7 wasn't popular in SK but super popular overseas. Sold hundreds thousands album each comeback and sold out tours all around the world. When GOT7 left jype, their shares dropped significantly. Please do your research thanks!

SEVENTEEN's debutation story needs to be known more. These boys have been through a lot. They were supposed to debut earlier but bcs of financial reasons, Pledis kept on moving the debut date. 4 members eventually left (one left bcs he was too young to debut at that time) now the group only has 13 members. Their situation was still dire. They don't know when they will make their debut or will they even debut... they were losing hope but they still remained passionate. Their company was so poor that they buy their own earpieces, share a tube of toothpaste with 13 members, and etc. They were also mistreated (all idols under pledis ngl). With all the difficulties they were having, the boys still stayed and supported each other. They have the best hyung, their leader, S.coups - who cares for SEVENTEEN more than the company - he even sole grapes just to feed it to his members. He made excuses to the staff so that his members could go to the bathroom bcs they didn't let them. They practiced A LOT, slept little, and then repeat. S.coups was worried so he told the members to skip practice together (so they could all have enough rest) and then get scolded together the next morning. On 2015, SEVENTEEN finally debuted. While everyone was doing a badboy concept at that time, SEVENTEEN did a fresh concept with their first song, Adore U.

The way Infinite raise Woollim from 0, their CEO didn't have a building for the company, only a room for dance practice and the 7 members, their managers and their CEO (11 people) lived in a tiny and old house with only one bathroom and 3 small rooms because they were in totally bankruptcy.
