Korean Beauty Standard - we are all too familiar with it by now. It is mentioned too many times, as many people are totally obsessed with it.
However, besides some lucky Kpop idols who were born with these unreal beauty traits, there are some who are equally beautiful and highly appreciated in the industry, even though they lack some very important traits to their appearance.

Doyeon was like Zendaya... I could say: KPOP beauty standards are different from fashion beauty standards which is what i like from runway fashion or any high fashion standards. Perfect beauty standards is not always the winner but that exotic beauty looks. Confidence is all that matters. I love those beauties that depicts the standards. Good thing, Korea is now breaking the norms.

I love freckles, that's so cute and on Felix it's sooooo cuteeeee. I think freckles are cute. I have freckles, and I love them. That's why I will never put foundation on my freckles. I'd say that JYP is the one that allows the most idols to debut without fulfilling these Korean beauty standards (Felix from Stray Kids, Yeji from Itzy and Tzuyu and Nayeon from Twice). It's very rare that you will see kpop idols with freckles, uneven teeth or prominent monolids. And Tzuyu is the darkest-skinned member of Twice, yet she's the visual of the group.

Felix's freckles are the most gorgeous bit about his appearance. They make him look so sweet and really suit him. It's also pretty rare to see an East Asian with natural freckels,so its extra special ✨

But, I agree with you that no standards define a person's beauty, not even Western beauty standards. Everyone fits a different standard,if someone doesn't, they fit their own standard.

But "Western beauty standart" is acceptable in both North and South America continents. Meanwhile Africa and Middle East have their own beauty standarts. Your rights and wrongs are not rational. Speaking of noses, I absolutely love Stray Kids' Bang Chan's nose because it doesn't match the korean standard but he hasn't gotten a nose job and I really hope he never does because it honestly fits his face perfectly and it just reminds me of how Stray Kids goes against the industry standard in a lot of their music content.

RM...he is absolutely unique in the Idol world with not another soul looking remotely like him & he's definitely not the norm. His golden skin, monolids, flatter nose bridge & roundish face are some of the ways he doesn't conform. There is no denying how gorgeous he is, bare-faced or made-up.

That’s the best thing about him. He is unique. The reason JK joined was because of his talent rather than his idol looks. I honestly believe this is why BTS has found fame outside of Korea. They are not medically perfected faces. They are not the best looking idols by Korean standard. Western people like myself don’t want perfectly pretty pop stars they want real people with talent. The thing is that most of them are not perfect by Asian standard but extremely attractive outside of Asian due to their individually natural faces.

when I stan groups idk why but I always literally always go with non-standard ones, may be bc of their manners and personalities. For me the most important things are these. There are not ugly humans in this world, just people who dont love themselves. Confidence and nice personality careness about urself that are what we need

Joy does not have chubby legs. She has extremely toned and shapely legs. If her legs were the thin ones that are admired, her body would not be admired like it is. Her whole body works beautifully together. 💚 She has one of the nicest bodies in KPOP.

i still remember how insecure felix was with his freckles until skz and stays showered him with love then he realized that his freckles are beautiful and we all love them so much so he's been showing them without any problem ever since and i'm so glad cuz he's so so pretty and his freckles are gorgeous

Same thing with his deep voice, but it was more of the media's fault with his voice because people did say some kinda offensive things about it and how it was "weird" to a young boy have such a deep voice that he even got to try to make it less and less deeper, which he kept for a good time until he realized we all love it no matter what, and then just kept his handsome voice the way it is. Oml, just looking at those comments made me remember so many bad things people said about him, but thankfully he feels more confident about himself now ☺✨
