Great video! Following :) ...I would recommend you three great works of Czech literature that are definitely worth reading. The first one is "Babička" by Božena Němcová, which will give you an insight into the life of our ancestors and show you what values are still important to us. Next, I would recommend 'May' by Karel Hynek Mácha, which is considered to be the jewel of our romantic literature and whose poetic beauty will certainly enchant you. Finally, I would suggest 'Old Czech Tales' by Alois Jirásek, which will take you through late slavic history of our lands and show you what stories were once told in our country by our ancestors. You will definitely enjoy it! Keep up the great work!

My favourite Czech book is Tyrkysový orel by Michal Ajvaz. It consists of two novellas which seamlessly blend reality and surrealism. A more recently published book is Do tmy by Anna Bolavá. Again, it has a certain quality of writing I enjoy. And when it comes to poetry, I'm pretty basic. I adore Kytice by Karel Jaromír Erben. My personal favourite is Zlatý kolovrat. I don't know if any of these were translated well or even translated at all. But if you find them in a bookshop or a library, give them a go. 😊

I'm preparing a trip to Prague and I need a book yo read on my trip and you did not help because now I want all the books 😂
