I think the part of making the wrong hires definitely struck me the most. Mainly, because I feel like I'd hire someone based off their personality and if we''re a match, not exactly if they're a match to the business. Also, the part of waiting too long to make the hires to delegate your time for other important tasks is also key! As far as where I'm at on my journey, I found my product from marketplace superheroes, and I am contacting suppliers for samples! I've already binge watched your videos on picking the "right suppliers," and what to say! I'm so excited, and wanted to thank you so much. I am truly grateful for your content and overall existence! I am 19 years old and have to say you're genuinely my role model in every way :) thank you!!

@@ijay860 Join it!! She actually made a video about marketplace superheroes years ago, but her and stefan made a video in 2020, about a month or two ago I think if we should still sell on amazon because there's this misconception that it's "too saturated." But, thats all bs and an excuse to not go for it. GET IT!!

I recently started online arbitrage. My first mistake: buying items (MANY units!) before checking if I was allowed to sell them on AMZ. Second mistake, not checking if only the brand sells a product, thus getting a warning from that brand. It's true though that when you make costly mistakes, you learn much faster!

Thanks for your great tips! I’ve always been a entrepreneur at heart and I’m very excited about starting my journey into the e-commerce world and specifically selling on Amazon to start with! I appreciate the behind the scenes insights. I’ve learned the hard way as well about leading with your heart mostly and trying to give people the benefit of the doubt. I’ve implemented the process of 3 try’s. If the person isn’t improving after 3 attempts at something, they probably never will be able grow and be a valuable member of your organization, (by choice or by not being able to). I’ll remember ‘Slow to hire, Quick to fire,’ that’s a very Succinct way of putting it.

If I could only go back these 10 months when I started I would do a lot of things differently. It is actually refreshing to know that I am not the only one making mistakes :) I wish you could do an interview with a bookkeeper who would give us step by step instructions showing us the correct steps to take when we starting out and don’t have the finances to hire anyone at first. That would be really helpful because right now I am trying to do everything on my own and bookkeeping is one of the things I am struggling with as I don’t know exactly what and how to do it. I totally resonated with you hiring the wrong people. I hired a VA from Pakistan and she ended up losing me a lot of money. I hired two more people after her and neither of them were good. I think it’s a good idea to go to an agency and allow them to do the work.

If your target is 70 orders per day, so launch one SKU instead of launching 10 different SKUs in which one SKU could bring 7 orders. SKU. I would like your thoughts about the mentors that set rules for a FBA beginning seller that they should go for a low competition (with high demand). Although it sounds fantastic, but in reality of economic, low competition appears to have low demand... My goal is to generate $180,000 of revenue in the first quarter. Should I try with low competition product(s) first to test the market and drive the sales, and then expand onto a more demanded product in a related product categories?
@TatianaJames
@TatianaJames 3 жыл бұрын
You don't want to source a product with low demand. So the rule about low competition with high demand is very different than just saying low competition. If you can't seem to find low competition then you for a product that you could market in a unique way or offer more value than the competition, that will help you differentiate from the competition.

Yes, it's a good problem to have but nonetheless, we don't' want to have it. I would close the listing so that the rank doesn't increase (you don't want people clicking on your listing only to not be able to buy, that is what will hurt your rank the most).

Thank you for the insights. My daughter is 17 and she wants to start Amazon business & has watched your videos as well as some courses for deeper understanding, can you help me to know how can we sell from India in America, do we need to register the company in our country? Thank you in advance!
