Thanks for the animal warning. Im a pet person and I can't stand animal abuse or seeing an animal suffering. It really breaks my heart. I love your stories but when it comes to animal suffering I cant. I heard what I could but Im affraid I couldnt finish bc of the warning.

I love listening to you tell these tales. I grew up with Skin Walker's and Wendigos being very real and to my people they are very very real. I was raised to never whistle after dark, never ever answer a voice that that calls my name. Even if it sounds like someone I know, just keep it moving or running. @@alexmartin3143 Wendigo are classically associated with Owls more than any other animal. In some languages, we share a name. Everything from my elbows down are just sharp, hooked talons great for peeling the flesh off Kentucky fried college kids.

I’m sure most of these stories are fantasy BUT if by chance it is true, leave your pets out of it! Don’t allow your dog to give chase to a predator! Lock it in a room until the creature is gone! Common sense. Thank you for your amazing stories darkness!!!

I'd never put my dog outside against something so terrible. Also Iv always heard Windigos are in extremely cold weather? Sounds more like crawlers but idk.Monsters can find you anywhere even in the city unfortunately, you go outside armed with your dog if you know there is something dangerous out there

I've been listening to these stories for years & always become so intrigued even excited when I hear stories from Minnesota. But I've never ever heard one from my own motherland ! I'm from red Lake reservation too. Idk exactly where you we're at on the rez but I kept picturing the cutoff or out west when I was listening to this. Ive seen so many weird things growing up there . Thanks for sharing your story

For the guy trying to make the Wendigo “pay” for what it did its practically impossible unless you’re Van Helsing, regular lead will not have an effect on such creatures, some rounds encased with silver if not a complete silver round will have a much better effect at hurting the damn thing, a silver blade will also do the trick, the only way you could “kill” that thing is to drive a silver stake through its heart, lock away it’s frozen heart in a silver box, and bury that box in a cemetery with a church next to it, then chop off all of it’s limbs, head, arms, legs, and burn the body with flames, every single last bit of it to ash, fail to do one of these steps it will resurrect itself and hunt you down till the day you die

A bit of Wendigo trivia then: Wendigo don't have antlers whatever people are seeing that act like Wendigo but have them are something new... and it is Impossible to outrun a Wendigo they move as fast as the frigid northern winds. and finally it's nearly impossible to kill a Wendigo it requires set up specific actions and rituals ... basically if you meet a Wendigo you are as good as dead and eaten.

Also, if you love wendigo stories, I really recommend a book called Children of the Dark written by Jonathan Janz, I finished reading it this morning and it's an amazing book and I can't recommend it enough! XD

I’ll be going back to the Upper Peninsula of Michigan on Sunday, August 7 to spend my vacation at an Airbnb. I’ll be sure to look out for the dogman during my vacation. If I see it, I’ll photograph it, type my story, and send my story your way along with the photo of the creature.

Hey the first story was not a Wendigo because they don't have antlers but it probably was a Skinwalker and what makes me say Skinwalker even more is A Wendigo would of eaten the doe on the porch and also would of eaten the dog but A Skinwalker Sometimes likes to play with you and scare you like by leaving the doe ans tossing the dog at him and A Wendigo would of gotten in his home if it wanted to which it probably would since humans are their favorite food but A Skinwalker would if playing with you it would just creep around and Scream and cause problems to entertain itself with you and like I said Windigos don't have antlers but Skinwalkers Can if they want and story number three was no Wendigo and the last one was a Skinwalker

It always gets me when they say there are things “we don’t understand”. That is false. There are things that YOU as a cynic or non believer don’t understand but there are literal generations of ppl that do understand and have interacted with these creatures for sometimes hundreds of years. It is incredibly ignorant that civilized society has forgotten its on past and gives the title of myth simply because it’s not allowed in an empirical journal.

If you have not visited a tribe’s “medicine man” (healer, shaman*) many different words I don’t understand why took the time understand the creature that affected you. If you “understand” what happened figure out how what happened and how to fix this “bad luck” you have been experiencing. Bad luck doesn’t just happen, you have been marked. Visit the closest tribe to you and they will likely tell you the same. In all honesty it angers me that we suffer in ignorance why sticking to faulty logic, I didn’t mean it as an offense to you specifically, just society as a whole.

No, the Wendigo are only in continental North America, mostly north of the Great Lakes region. If you head northeast however, the Swedes and Norwegians will tell you about their mountain trolls!
