I really like Dominic. I can see that he has the heart of a pastor. He talked about visiting people in hospitals and the importance of their souls. He really speaks like a pastor and I every pastor should have the same vision like him.

What qualifies as a pastor in the eyes of the KZfaq channel? I agree they’d be out first if I were to vote personally but there is a rising trend in new age Christianity where people who aren’t living biblically believe themselves to be Christian etc. If he says he is a gay pastor and jubilee agreed with his worldview then for the sake of the game I’d have to figure out whether his worldview was genuine moreso than whether he was biblically sound.

I absolutely hated how both Daniel and Anna used the victim card (queer, feminist) to blame and guilt trip the others, when in reality they both were pretty transparently the moles. It cheapens legitimate moments where people are discriminated against for those reasons. Really awful, IMO.

Similarly, if in a movie depicting a war between muslims and pagans if a muslim plays the role of the pagan he has not commited sin in the basis of the Qur'an.

I'm also an atheist but I'm happily surprised by how the pastors handled voting people out. They did a lot more critical thinking compared to going off of generalizations. They definitely did Don dirty though 🤣 At least to me, he seemed the most pastor-ly based off his answers and knowledge.

I’m also guessing that you might have had some poor experiences with pastors in your past which I’m sorry to hear… even the representatives of faith aren’t all saints and even then, we all are simply imperfect humans at the end of the day

@The Meaning is Always Vague As someone who is being raised in religion(I’m atheist) I’ve noticed that most pastors seem to be able to think critically to a center degree but then other than that no, I don’t expect much critical thinking from pastors as a whole(I’m speaking for myself I dunno about anyone else).

Adding this to my comment: No, I'm not implying pastors cannot critically think. I'm only comparing past Odd One Out videos where most of the guests generalize others when voting them out. I was expecting this video to be the same, but glad it wasn't. Please don't make assumptions. I'm always happy to clarify.

for those of you who don't know, Lutherans have different "synods" or associations that each hold to very clear tenants on every aspect of Christianity you can think of. Out of a heart for avoiding dissension and upholding Truth consistently, it's a high priority amongst all the Lutheran synods, even liberal ones, to hold very unified agreement amongst each of the congregations about that synod's established doctrine on major and minor topics. Anyone is allowed to attend, but not to be a member or take communion if you don't agree with all their doctrine. Because of the history, community, and positions deeply ingrained into each of the Synods, it's not common at all for a local Lutheran church to cherry pick or be unclear about their own positions.

Well explained! I'm a member of the LCMS (2nd largest), and I totally agree! Probably the best illustration of key differences is comparing the ELCA (higher criticism) and the LCMS (Biblical inerrancy). However, there are less noticeable differences in the smaller Lutheran groups.

Bare in mind that the UP has towns with only a few hundred people- it’s actually very common there to have two church’s… a Catholic Church and then an “other” church, which may loosely align with Lutheran but likely doesn’t even have it listed anywhere. I grew up in the UP.
