Speaking as a member of Pastor Kelly's congregation for 9 years, he is my role model as a Christian. He is always willing to listen and grow. His sermons are hilarious and thoughtful. He went against the Methodist Church to perform same-sex marriages. He created a safe parking program in our church parking lot for our local houseless community. He is just as lovable and wonderful in real life as he is in this video. I am forever blessed to have grown up with him at the helm of my church.

As a Christian myself, my views on my faith did not align with the majority of the Christians in this video. However, that being said I don't hate any of them or wish them ill will. I simply agree to disagree respectfully. I think in this day in age no matter what your religion, beliefs, or opinions are, we as people need to start getting comfortable with disagreeing and moving on without tearing into someone and attacking them. Finding common ground with someone even as simple as liking the same food or attending the same venue is a beautiful thing. The world would be a much greater place.

The pastor reminded me of a priest I knew when I was in catechism. He was a very good, nice and chill man and very non-judgemental. When I started questioning my faith (which honestly I never had) and God itself, I decided to talk with him, after the function, and he listened to me and tried to explain to me all the things I didn't understand. Then he "It doesn't matter who you believe in or not: God loves you anyways, just like I do and your family does and your friends do. What matters is that you treat others with kindness and never do to others what you don't want to be done to yourself". I translated this from my language (italian) and also from my memories, but I believe they still carry a wonderful message. To this day I am a convinced atheist, but I will never forget what my priest did for me ❤

i would reccomand to Cut that they get serious Christians on this show. This episode does NOT show true Christianity. They make it seem like Christianity is some kind of religion with no rules and no customs, this is false. Homosexuality is a sin, fornication is a sin, porn is a sin, gluttony is a sin, drinking too much is a sin too. I pray for these people and for this pastor, for them to come home to the truth of Christ and be freed from sin and fully become the person Christ wants them to be :). Of course everyone is a sinner and so am I , but we should all focus on Jesus Christ who is our Lord and Saviour and not on the passions of this world!

I think it is incredibly sad to see the Christians not have the answer to this question. I am a Christian, and have been on all of my life. And although these are hard questions, some of them, others aren’t simple and straightforward, and they were still not able to answer them. I think it’s sad to see people who are proclaiming themselves to be Christians, and not know and believe in the things that are crucial to a Christian walk.

Jesus Himself said that his people would be hated for standing for righteousness (Matthew 24.) The people in this video are what the Bible described as having a 'form of godliness but denying the power thereof.' They claim to be followers of Christ, but they do not show what they claim in their actions. It is not that as Christians aim to pick on these people or be hateful toward them, but rather we are called to hold other Christians accountable according in the Bible. If we accept sin, then we ourselves are in danger of being rejected. The Christians in the early church died for the name of Jesus. They were crucified, burned at the stake, tortured, etc. They were hated by society and were willing to lose their lives in order to be counted as righteous for the sake of Christ. It was a truly devout act of selflessness and sacrifice. Today's form of Christianity is a polar opposite deviant of the faith's purest form: self-serving, self-gratifying and no strings attached. The whole point of being a Christian is sacrificing your own wants and desires to serve Christ and others, but this new wave of Christianity is not true Christianity, but is an entirely new religion altogether. The pastor was a cool guy, but he is factually wrong to say that Jesus would have been an Arab male - the region had not been conquered yet by conquests from Arabia, so the region was pre-Arab in terms of language, heritage etc. Jesus' ethnicity would have been Israelite / Levantine Jewish.

As someone who didn’t grow up in a specific religion and has seen religion in a culty way, it was really cool to see the pastor listen to the other persons ideas and not get offended or make them for incorrect about their beliefs.
