making a clean cut also seems to be pretty important, I noticed a pretty big difference in the rates at which stems started to rot when I used dull kitchen scissors vs when I finally got a proper razor. Aside from the scissors probably having more bacteria and being harder to clean than a razor, it seems that messy cuts damage the stem tissue and have more surface area for bacteria to grow on.

Do not disturb cutting for atleast 2 weeks. If it is successful then you can find the sign easily i.e leaf / leaves look healthy. Too much attention to any plant lead to kill.

Hi, I've been the whole evening watching your videos and with this one I have a question. I heard of using cinnamon as protection while propagating. It's supposed to put a little of powder on the cut and put it into soil or perlite, specially with succulents because as you said in the video, almost always you need to have a callus to put it on soil. I don't know if this actually works, it may be acting as the antifungi powder. Have you, or anyone, ever heard about this?
@SheffieldMadePlants
@SheffieldMadePlants Жыл бұрын
Yes cinnamon can be used as an alternative to rooting hormone. Protects the cutting so the natural rooting enzymes can do their work.
