Let's dive into the scientific scoop behind minimalism with five awesome strategies: First off, let's tackle the sentimental clutter! Take a snap of your cherished items before bidding them farewell; it helps preserve memories while loosening those emotional ties. Next, we're busting the myth that stuff defines us! Embrace mindful shopping by choosing items that genuinely spark joy and reflect your true self, beyond society's norms. Feeling FOMO's grip? No worries! Shift gears and focus on what truly matters to you. By aligning choices with your personal values, you'll craft a life that's authentically yours. Get ready to set sail towards your minimalist goals! Make 'em crystal clear, specific, and achievable; it's like plotting a course for an epic adventure, but in decluttering land! Lastly, overwhelmed by the mess? Break it down! Small, manageable decluttering tasks with set timeframes not only beat procrastination but also tap into your brain's secret mojo for getting things done! Here are some questions that helped me declutter my childhood Easter basket that was over 40 years old: 1. Is the only time you look at this item when you are doing a round of decluttering or reorganizing? 2. Would you still have the memories associated with this item even if you decluttered it? (I think you mentioned this in the video and to take a photo to preserve the memories.) 3. Was this a mass-produced item that has no value other than the sentimental value? 4. Are you falling in the trap of attaching more meaning to the item just because you've held onto and taken care of it for so many years? If you answer yes to any of these questions, you should really consider letting go of it.

They really are! For me it’s been a process of finding the few things that bring me joy ❤️ when I had a ton of things I felt sentimental about none of them ever seemed special

I have always struggled with that saying are your trying impress someone else? I could care less what others think but I myself like nice things. I try to strike a balance. I like a nice car but we do not not spend money eating out or traveling. We have a nice comfortable home but we do not have a lot of toys or cloths. I just have always loved nice things that typically cost more. I can not imagine wasting my hard earned money to impress someone else. That makes me sad that people do that. As always great video and conversation!

More is better, replace by nicer. No problem with getting rid, enjoy throwing items and friends away! But no minimalism love nice cloths and art. Hate counting, buy everything to please myself.
