My BIGGEST mistake I have ever made when it comes to my relationship with my husband is I have never allowed him to earn my love. I made it so easy for him. Gave away my worth without setting any standards and demanding the respect I deserve. Back then I was naive and had little to no confidence. 23 years later I'm still paying for it. This is very good advice for young women and women starting over. Wish I knew back then what I know now! :(

Number 4 though. I can't stand inconsistency. If someone wants to be with me, they'd make time. I think it's so disrespectful for a man to not call back, etc. Lack of maturity too.

I don't understand why men are really nice at first but took you for granted when you're already his girfriend. I know not all guys are like that but I guess most of us had experienced it. That is why I have trust issues in men but that doesn't mean that I'll stop loving. I just want to protect and reserved my heart for the guy who deserves it.

oh gosh i was in a relationship for about a year and after about 4 months he became very fishy, always making up excuses, ignoring me for days and then coming back for 2 days sweettalking me asking for smth sexual and ignoring again, and i found out he was cheating. Silly me I went back to him cause he was sweet for 2 weeks but he kept playing me and yes all of the things you said were the case. it was so obvious as well haha. Been through this and trust me they are not even worth it. Waste of time and energy. Mine suddenly became distant and went mia for a week, I gave him his space for two weeks then he hit me with he had family drama and was busy with work. I knew he was lying since he was lurking all my ig and snap stories plus instagram shows you which posts they like. I saw him following and liking other womens photos so if you are apparently that busy you wont have time for that shit. Safe to say I cut him off completely, he still lurks me but I haven't spoken a word to him since. It's been two months now.

I do not see why guys or girls get in a relationship just to hurt their partners. It touches my heart deeply to see someone be treated that way because in some ways a person may feel like their partner was their life so in that case the girl or the boy will end up taking their own life's because of it. Was with a guy for 3 years (just broke up). I had surgery on June 30th and he never came to see me, made excuses and then went ghost. I took him back a few weeks later but a few days later he did it again. Last weekend we went to the Redskins/Packers football game and he was acting like a jerk so we left the game. On the way to the Metro station he gets a call from another woman and I hear him tell her "yeah I'm still trying to get with you. I'll call you back but it won't be until tomorrow". So I yell "who you talking to? who is that? how you talking to some other woman and you out with me?" After that I was really done. We were engaged to be married and he turns around before he goes home and says that the ring he gave me, on bended knee, in front of a group of our friends, was a friendship ring. So full of shit and the bad part is that I was warned by several people when we first got together but I didn't listen.

I thought he was the finest guy I had ever seen or actually wanted to talk to me until I noticed I wasn't getting no reciprocity. I was driving my car, spending my money and still made excuses for him. He's fired and don't even know it. He still texts or calls me but I don't call or text him at all.

Thank you! You have no idea how much it helped me to watch your short video... I was with my fiance for 4 years, lived with him for two and allowed him to meet my daughter after two years as well. Thought I was being super careful and smart. Ive never let a man meet my daughter before or allow anyone to get too close. Long story short he did a 180 after getting engaged and was extremely protective and secretive of his phone and life. Treated me like a roommate as well, no sex, affection or friendship.. I tried very hard to get his attention and communicate without causing issues but got shut down every time like i was being too sensitive.... I eventually did end up arguing with him because nothing changed and he always found a way to blame me. It didn't matter how hard i tried, if I brought anything up ever he'd scream and curse then break up with me every time. Of course I got sucked in and was always the one to beg for him back and apologize for things I didn't truly believe i did wrong.. I couldn't handle it. In the end, I found out he really was cheating with that girl from work... He made me feel like I was crazy and told me I was just insecure. After he broke up with me one day, i decided to snoop because she was already flirting with him in my face and sending stupid selfies. I looked on his email to find he send her 90 dollar flowers. When I asked him why, (not even acting angry or mean), he tells me it was her birthday and he was doing it for his boss. I then tell him her birthday was two months ago and he clearly did it. He then tells me it was due to her having a bad day at work and he was trying to be there tor her. I texted that I didn't believe it and he then proceeded to dump me over text telling me I should have never snooped and crossed the line in our relationship. He told me to get out of the house when I pay half of every bill and had no where to go. I did and it sucked. My daughter and I had a tough run for three months until I saved up enough money to get another apartment. He'll never understand it. I was crushed, my daughter was affected and I had to be the one to see her through that. He begged for me back multiple times. I took him back like an idiot and found that he had more that 40 photos on his phone of him and this girl after we broke up. I know this because he offered his phone to me to prove he and her were never a thing. After seeing what I did and knowing some of it was posted on fb when I've never (in four years) been on his fb (and had arguments over it) I was beyond pissed. To this day we have gone back and forth. He will beg for me back, i will let him in eventually to find he obviously can't do what it takes to fix things. All i asked was to have no screaming, cursing or threatened breakups when i do something that pisses him off, get therapy to communicate better, and be in a real committed relationship (not see you late at night on Sat. sometimes and text communicate without any real connection). He always just disappears on me as soon as any of it gets brought up and I would like to actually talk about things or ask for more than the superficial crap of a relationship I get now. I see now i am an idiot because he still believes a lot of things that i see are deal breakers after our history. He still thinks it's out of line to snoop (given any circumstance and I was wrong before when I found i wasn't crazy as I was made to believe), I should not do the things that make him yell and curse (I don't think I do anything that distressing) and refuses therapy (if he can not talk about the things he wants to fix and opts to disappear, give me the silent treatment for a month at a time or yell and scream-what do you think will help you). I know I'm at fault for this all to be that dumb in my choices and expect a different outcome, just had to say something because obviously its too embarrassing to tell family and friends who believe i'm smarter than that.
