This is me and my dad every year. Except now his truck has the warning beep going that we might hit something because the boat is in the way of the sensor! It adds a whole new level of fun to the process.

There’s a button u can press somewhere on ur dash that will stop it from making that noise when ur hauling a trailer or boat. My ram had it

Sumthin about nuttin in that box just enables the "Pro Trailer Reversing" ability. You've gotta level it up and buy a few Boat Upgrades to max out the skill though.

You forgot the other 2 stages: 1. Get it in the water and realize you forgot to put the drain plug in. 2. Get it backed in and realize the keys to the boat are at the house....

Hate to admit..... I've done the keys at home. Electronic buddy with me crossed the ignition. We fished, but I've never heard the end of it. No one to blame but me.

I have it on my 16 but, they want me to put a sticker on my trailer for it to work. That powder coated baby doesn't want no stickers.

@@JonP_4-31inf Same. I was starting to set it up just to see what it was all about because it just came with the truck. Once I read about putting the stickers on I said screw it. Plus any of the other 3 trucks I regularly back trailers in with don't have it so what's the point.

Easiest way I learned to back up a trailer. Grab the bottom of the steering wheel and which ever way you want the trailer to go,move your hand in that direction.

Oh christ I've done this once with each boat I've owned/operated... I went full Dad on this one and make us go through a checklist together before we launch. My girlfriend rolls her eyes at me every time... and every time we find something we missed. It works for pilots...

My uncle and family would sit on their deck next to a boat launch with whiteboards. They would drink beer and write scores out of 10 and then hold them up for random people trying to launch their boats.

I used to live in Elephant Butte N.M. Our family had a place right next to the boat ramp. We never went out on the lake during the holiday weekends. We just sat on the patio with our bloody Mary’s and Mimosas and enjoyed the show. We saw some pretty crazy stuff. Including a motor home submerged with all the contents floating about. There was also the Woman in the fancy truck launching the real pretty boat painted to match. She got fed up with her husband’s verbal abuse and stepped out, walked up the ramp and never looked back!

The most entertaining is the public (free) boat launch. All walks of life. I saw a 50 something year old lady belly flop out of her boat onto the metal dock. LMAO! She said" You moved the boat" Husband says " I didn't move sh!t" and proceeds to pull away from dock and leave! LMAO

I'm having "flash backs" 🚤 of working security at Colter Bay, 2020 Grand Teton National Park. 😁 The common tactic was drive the boat, trailer straight back into the water, ramp. Unhitch the boat 🚤. Pull the wet trailer, wet SUV-F150-Ram up the marina lot & park it on the side.

We would grab McDonald's and park at the morehead city ramp in NC when I was a child just to watch the show. Good times. Always stayed after we were finished eating because it was so funny. And we feed the sea gulls and wade overboard.
