Well, if ya see ‘em tell em I say hi” -then the “eh I know we already hugged but I better get another one in” -then the slow walk out the actual door along with a couple silly jokes -the conversation while walking down the driveway -the wave as the car pulls away -...but wait, I forgot to give ya this, I brought it but left it in the car” -“ok we’ll be see in’ ya soon!” With a final wave as the car pulls away. It’s so creepy. This guy knows everything about almost everything I grew up with and is now part of my life. Like he was going through the junk drawer and I was thinking to myself how all of that is exactly what’s in my drawer. It’s always been that way too. I lost it with the battery bag. It’s like the Midwest is nothing but a huge family. If I went over to his house. I would know where everything was. I ask for a tape measure and he says it’s in the junk drawer. I would know where the junk drawer was and would feel confident it was where he said it was. No question that it was put away in a toolbox like weird people.
