Happy October everyone! Today I unveil a brand new series where I get to explore some of the more strange stories I've uncovered while looking at gaming topics on the web. These are five quick tales that I thought were interesting enough to share with all of you.

Funnily enough the original idea for Kingdom Hearts was to have you play as Donald wielding a chainsaw.

i know of the concept art where Sora was originally a lion boy with a chainsaw sword maybe you got confused over that? i never heard anything about Donald being the main character at any point

@@Vee_Sheep It's obviously a mix of different events. In the initial concept stages, Disney wanted the main character to be Donald. Square wanted the main character to be Mickey. Tetsuya Nomura decided to take a third option and make the main character a lion kid with a chainsaw, until Disney axed the chainsaw idea and Nomura himself realized that the tail would make him too similar to FFIX's Zidane.

Animal Crossing was actually my first Gamecube game when I was a little kid and the gyroid face did happen to me! I was more intrigued than scared, though it was very unexpected. Did it a few more times on purpose after that just to see it lol

Thanks to everyone checking out the new video! In this brand new series, I'm exploring the weirder side of gaming and uncovering strange gaming stories from around the internet. Stay awhile, there's certainly some strange stuff in this video.

My guess on the mickey and donald sprites is that they were removed from gameplay in the original SNES release due to copyright around the characters and how even if the devs could get permission for them the rules on how Mickey can be portrayed are tight enough that the demonic version of him would likely not be okayed. Which is why their inclusion in the PC release are so far from the original designs, legally distinct enough that no legal trouble could come of it.

Not gonna lie the hole DoTA thing is just sad. I mean, the kid didn’t really have anything else to do other than playing it. I mean I don’t think I would have much else.

Man it's so rare I find a game engrossing enough to make me lose track of time, I can't imagine playing for 3 whole weeks. Even when I had a covid scare and stayed home for a full week, I couldn't do one thing for more than 3 hours max.

The thing with gamer kid dying is really sad. Don't get me wrong, 6 hours a day is a lot to spend on a game, but it's not really unusual especially in today's twitch stream culture where people will often play 15 hour sessions straight. A good reminder to stand up and stretch often.

If you didn't know, China is notorious for stabbing incidents and I suspect that the gang has probably had something happened earlier and the guy was the final thing that broke their temper. Gangs in China are very violent and the fact that they were chilling in the computer cafe and gaming tells me that the area is a hotspot for gangs or at least an area that's shady enough for gangs just to lurk. The kid was already in hot water by just playing there in the first place and he should avoid that place.
