When someone loves you they will at least meet you HALFWAY, I lost my job due to covid19 and there was someone that I really cared about, and someone I actually did fall for they both know who they are. If someone really wants to get get to know you they make an effort, if there is no effort on their part, I will give up I am having a hard time right now, I could really LOVE having someone good in my life right now, but I don't want someone I have to take care of does that make sense, I don't want someone who is controlling either.

Well, i have had a similar experience-down to the same two year age difference. What is super hard is that this was one of my very best friends and I missed the friendship terribly. At first all was wonderful and then suddenly, brakes were put on. It has crushed my self esteem and made me feel so bad about myself. I know, I know- before everyone comes at me for being needy-I am just not a perfect person. I did not want to lose our friendship, but am so tired of games. So tired of not being on sure footing. So tired of feeling bad about myself. So tired of the loneliness. Just thinking there is nothing left for me in life at this age except more loneliness. I am keeping u in my thoughts and prayers. My solution was to cut off all communication with my old flame and move on. I put my relationship with God first, went on a few dates and about a year later, I met the man I will marry. We have done the courting thing the “old fashioned way”, this means “no sex” until we get married and no living together before marriage. We have talked about everything good, bad and ugly from our past, our expectations and our faults/strengths. We also share the same faith and values, which was MAJOR for us to establish from the beginning of our relationship. We are currently planning our lives together and will get married in a few months. I didn’t expect to meet him and I was ready to live life alone, but I was actually ok with that! I was truly satisfied being alone, although God knew my heart’s desire was to marry again. My biggest piece of advice based on my Christian perspective is to put God first, ask for His help, wisdom and guidance for your life. He will help you to feel complete and whole with YOURSELF. Once you are content, either you will be ok being alone or He will bless you with your intended love. Do things “differently” and see how God will bless your life! 💖 @sadiewolf28
