I HATE my BMW 335i (N55 E92)
I meant to upload this video a while ago, but it just didn't fit with my upload schedule. Thank you to everyone that has been asking for being patient. Anyway, here are the top 5 things that I hate about my 2011 BMW 335i (N55). I really do love this car and I'm really going to miss it once it's sold. However, there are a few things that bug me about this car. I discuss them in today's video. Hope you enjoy!

Correction: I really love the torque. I just don’t like how the power drops off after 5K rpm.

VANOS over VTECH anyday, you gotta retune the computer better; its timing's fully variable! It may take some getting used to, but you gotta give it a while to build up in high speeds; it's a freeway car, you should be kicking ass after/over 60MPH!! also might be due for injectors or sum'n

@@BradTech. nah it's boost related not timing. Stock turbo isn't efficient enough to maintain max boost all the way to redline so it tapers pretty bad. I peak at 19psi at 4500rpm then I drop off all the way down to 11-10 by the time I'm at 6500

actually the exact reason im looking for an n55. I daily an e90 m3 rn and with the lack of torque its not as enjoyable in the city as a turbo engine would be. n55's and s65's are the exact opposite in this sense, s65 you have to rev it out to get the power for the n55 its all there down low. Depends on your driving style but i want to keep the m3 for the weekend/track and the 335 for the street/highway :)

It's meant to be daily driven, which is why it doesn't drive like it's on rails.. idk people think a little body roll and compliance is a bad thing, but you'd be upset that it was too stiff if you're daily driving it. Especially since you're first gripe is that you have to shift it. Idk man I think you're confused about what you really want in your daily. Do you want a race car or do you want comfort?

Just FYI it makes the world of a difference to buy your BMW in sport package rather than yours, they come with far much lower suspension from the factory, yours is the highest; also BMW suspension wears out quick from hard acceleration/deceleration, that's why make sure you check how they sit/squat when you buy one.

I have an N55 135i and agree with all of it except the suspension because I have an m sport. The perception thing is really true, I feel like people think i’m someone who i’m not because I have a loud aggressive looking BMW lol.

I love both my 2011 335i and my 2008 Sti. In the BMW people treat me like I'm a snob, I only make like 50k a year. In the Sti people, (kids or younger people) always wanna race. It's weird I'm 43. I just love foreign cars. 😆

Mature perspectives for your age. As mentioned, sport suspension is a totally different story. I couldn't find a half clean e9x after almost a yr looking, so settled on a simple Benz c207 chassis as a daily. Insane traffic on my commute also had me going for an auto & saving a manual for a 2nd car when the time was right. Of course now working from home for 7 months, I wish I'd kept after a manual e92. Having a manual in the bs traffic I used to deal w/ would be pointless. And I hear you on the way ppl perceive you. It's just a car, but man do ppl get insecure

Thankfully, my '12 n55 335i is automatic, awd, and I don't mind the suspension, and the power is just enough to put a smile on my face

M sport suspension is rock hard and more than a few people had pothole explosions with it. The E series BMWs really need aftermarket suspension.

I bought an auto e92 335i too, I drove the manual and it was fun but the auto in these are great, its quick, comfortable and if you dont want to shift you dont have to. I also have a 6spd Miata for the weekends.

i liked the video but i want to know more about the mechanical aspect of owning this car. you brought shocks up, that was good to know. what about engine, transmission, regular maintenance. also it sounds like the computer was fucking up when you pressed a button. did you notice any other "weird" electronic issues?

I had an n53 e90 330xi with a manual transmission nd after having that car for bout 2 years and selling it. I've been scared to get another e9x car but I really want an e92 335i as my next project car

My 2011 335i has the MSport package and the suspension is pretty stiff with that package.

Manual lol. For the first time in a long time I am sick got the flu and got it bad. My company truck is a automatic 2010 Chevy 2500HD 4 door long bed with a campers shell and huge. My truck is a tiny 1991 Nissan D21 hardbody with a 5 speed manual. With a 103.3F fever I drove home in my company truck almost 5 hours it was one of the hardest drives. Once home drove my truck to the doctors then home. I thank the drive to the doctor 1 mile then home 2 miles tops was harder then 200+ miles drive home in my company truck. So I can understand manual vs automatic one that one. My 2002 BMW Z3 M roadster don’t have a open diff it has a LSD that’s so odd yours does think it’d have a LSD.

Don't you have an SE model which is buiness class ? Meaning the suspension setup is as such of a fleet car for long journeys not "spirited" driving? Yeh you have an SE model go drive an MSPORT one fuck coilovers.

Suspension isnt sloppy,and that coilovers are expensive for a premium car is not the cars fault... lol :D u want good stuff,so pay money for it,u compare tuning parts with a civic ? Hm...

The ride quality control in my 2008 e92 335i with the optional 19s is superior to my 19 e63s, i jist inherited my dads loaded 335i, and wow, its at 25k kilometers, keep your hondas, they're all blowing engines with little boost now.

I’ve been more disrespected by other drivers while driving a BMW, than any other car I’ve driven. People will go around you and jump in front of you and then brake to make a turn, A LOT. People will ride your ass and diesel truck drives will roll coal on you. It pretty funny but its also ridiculous. Cause you easily put together why their doing it.
