In today's video, we'll talk about 5 specific things social media has normalized that are not normal at all! Hopefully this will encourage you to see past the seemingly perfect lives of people online and allow you to gain some extra gratitude for your life - even if it's not always picture-perfect!

All so true, and I've reflected on this travel thing for years. People I know are struggling financially making these expensive trips. I think it has to do with people failing to think long-term (emergencies / retirement) alongside their immediate embrace of life. We raised our kids mostly with car trips and explored almost all of our home state, which we're doing again now that we've moved. Day trips or week trips, as you said, there's a lot to explore locally. The wonder is inside you; just a matter of tapping into that. Thoreau made this point long ago: "A man must generally get away some hundreds or thousands of miles from home before he can be said to begin his travels. Why not begin his travels at home? Would he have to go far or look very closely to discover novelties?"

I love that quote! I also grew up with lots of road trips and camping/day trips. Those sorts of modest, local experiences still bring me so much joy!

One of the biggest things that social networks cause-which is both a con and a pro-are echo chambers! Famously (infamously), this includes politics, but even more impactful in the realm of personal development is the positive or negative outlook that the people have in your daily feed. If you (intentionally) cultivate positive, constructive content, you'll find yourself purposeful and inspired. If it's negative doom-and-gloom, then you're demotivated to do something positive with your own life.

This was a great video. Thanks for sharing your perspective! This definitely made me feel better about my small wardrobe. 😂 Overconsumption of social media is a huge problem. Im glad you mentioned it. I worry about our youth and how it affects them.🤔 Thank a lot for raising the topic. It’s definitely food for thought. Keep the videos coming they are great 😊

Thank you very much! I agree that overconsumption & social media are very relevant topics right now. Hopefully having these conversations will help us all become more aware of our own habits and lead to individual improvement!

Normalization of repetitive and conditioned trends such as the sporting of similar outfits as well as the creation of similar digital content for further entertaining and or influencing the audience to do the same. Thus, creating a sense of reality of what it is to be either informative and or entertaining digital content. 👏👏👏👌🎥😺🥰⭐️💎

5:05 It's just normal people becoming sellers and consumers at the same time to rush for their survival by grabbing the markets ASAP and in doing so exploit the use of all forms of digital marketing and niche presence before the other guy or gal just living next door may grab those opportunities. It's like a marketing bloodbath! ✌

the hustle culture and curated productivity. like if you're not doing productive things 24/7 you are a failure. and not repeating outfit is absurd af. if you're not even wearing your favorite dress again is it even your favorite dress?
@irinadeee

Very good point, hustle culture is huge on social media. And I totally agree about outfit repeating, I love to rewear my favorite clothes often!
@msbonkahbitch6966
@msbonkahbitch6966 7 ай бұрын
When you mentioned ‘’ not repeating outfits’’ i realized it is really ridiculous. Who buys a shirt to not just wear it again? I’m 16 years old and I have witness people who are considered popular do this because they think it is embarrassing. Back then, I use to have that mentality only because of the desire to be socially accepted. In addition to hustle culture, it is so misleading. Majority would work so hard for little to no results. People are forgetting their own values and what is defined as success to them: chasing after a dream that is not fill-filled from within (no passion).
