If I understand you, this is what you´re saying? 1.Be a woman of value-respect yourself 2.Support and be interested in his goals and desires3.State from get-go what you want-marriage etc.4.Avoid closing doors through negative,vendictive or angry behaviors 5.Stay positive and think the best of him and his intentions toward you...ultimately he wants you to be happy.

Nope did that! Doesn;t matter what the woman does, if he doesn't want to marry you, there's nothing we as women can do. You can't make or entice a person to do something they don't want to no matter how you act or treat him

I disagree with the vindictive part. Sometimes a man will doing something extremely disrespectful, that it warrants a reaction from the woman. For instance, I did a lot of things for my ec, bought him gifts, sex him really good, sent his mother flowers when she was sick in the hospital, bought him tickets to the NBA game, supported him with his business (which he continues to procrastinate and wont open it) and after all of this, he still don't appreciate me. He didn't buy me anything for my birthday or Xmas but he expects me to be there. I finally snapped and cussed him out. I said a lot of hurtful things, but I don't regret it because he deserved it. He treats me bad when I treat him good and I got fed up. It is what it is. I have no regrets for telling him exactly how I feel

It's the same with women. You have to make it worth our while. What it took to get us, it takes that after the marriage as well. Both have to work at it and put their best foot forward. It's not a one-way street.

Some family members don't give the best advice. My husband's parents are very supportive and never judge our marriage vs my family on my side always wants to say something negative about our role as parents or say something about my husband and my husband has stood up for me 8 solid years. So you cannot always take family advice.

number 5 is key...some guys might actually still want to be with the girl after they break up...or may end up marrying them....but the girls that get vindictive just prove to the guy that he made the right choice in not popping the question!
@AJweathersby
@AJweathersby 9 жыл бұрын
Donisha Thomas What? Aren't vindictive women the exact opposite of good women (or at least definitely not good as far as that man is concerned)? That would be like me saying that if a woman breaks up with a dude, and he starts sabotaging you at your job, then that doesn't mean the woman was right to cut him off. Instead, that means the woman just didn't know a good man. I imagine that genuinely good people don't get vindictive and undercut their exes.
@AJweathersby
@AJweathersby 8 жыл бұрын
SAM INTERESTED There are guys out there who legitimately enjoy women kicking them in the nuts. There are guys who enjoy watching their wives get banged by another dude (particularly by black dudes). Just because you found an exception to the rule doesn't mean they're anything other than that. An exception.
@AJweathersby
@AJweathersby 8 жыл бұрын
+SAM INTERESTED You said your dude came back to you after you "tried to ruin his fucking life". And just like dude's who are cuckolds and masocists, he was an exception to how the average dude normally reacts. Just because he didn't mind doesn't mean most other dudes won't.
@AJweathersby
@AJweathersby 8 жыл бұрын
+SAM INTERESTED If it was actually true that everyone in the world was completely different and that certain groups of people don't act and think alike, then sciences like psychology and sociology wouldn't exist. Sure, there always exceptions to the rules. Not all wolves run in packs. Not all germs are bad for your health. But just because there are always people who don't follow the rules doesn't mean the rules should be ignored, like what you're saying. I guarantee you that if you were to pick two random guys off the street, they'd probably have more in common with each other than they'd have differences.
@AJweathersby
@AJweathersby 8 жыл бұрын
SAM INTERESTED Exactly. And when it comes to relationships, many guys want similar things for certain reasons. There are certain traits that men generally like in women, that can be seen in literally every culture on earth. For example, all men across the world value "beauty" in women first and foremost, even if they have different ideas of what beauty is. That means that even as individuals, men have more that unifies them with other men, other than simply having a penis. Same with women. I'm pretty sure there are a number of things you've seen women think and do that you either rarely or almost never see men do. That should be a sign that men have some form of thinking or behavior-pattern that most men share to a degree. Being an individual doesn't mean being nothing like the next person.

Once you r in a relationship he thinks everything going great dump his behind. .he won't know what hit him and will be trying to get you back but make it hard for him to get you back and when you get back with him he will never ever let you go because he will never ever want to feel those emotions of rejection again not knowing that it was difficult for you to do this but had to in order for Jhim to appreciate you to the fullest and if he didn't pursue you after dumping him he never ever would had considered you marriage material to begin with so in a sense saving yourself a lot of valuable time wasted on someone who will never marry you

@AJweathersby 8 жыл бұрын
SAM INTERESTED Your peers may have more experience than you with how people act in certain situations. And they can tell you some of the things to watch out for that you would've never known otherwise without firsthand experience. I once had my Dad tell me that a relationship I was in was already over, and I just didn't know it yet. 2 weeks later, I found out my ex was cheating on me. And he told me, based on how he noticed her acting and certain ways she'd phrase things to me, that he already knew where it was going. And I blew him off, because I figured there was no possible way he knew her better than I did. Which was true. However, he knows people in general way better than I do so he didn't have to know in order to know what she was going to do.
@AJweathersby
@AJweathersby 8 жыл бұрын
SAM INTERESTED No it's not different. All "experience" means is that after going through the fire, now you know what to look for. And when you know what to look for, you don't need a whole mountain of information. For example, people who are bad influences hang out with like-minded people. So if there's a group of 9 people who gang bang, I don't have to meet the 10th in person to simply assume that they gang bang to. Sure, there's a good chance the 10th person could just be friend who hangs out. But that's usually not the case 90% of the time. If a person wants a relationship, then no matter who they are, there are usually certain things they do and think. So even without meeting every guy in the world, you can zero in on very specific actions to know how likely it is that a specific person is serious or just running game.
@AJweathersby
@AJweathersby 8 жыл бұрын
SAM INTERESTED People do it all the time. Have you ever been talking to a random black person, and casually mentioned something about Rap or R&B? Most people in America don't like Rap. But most black people do. So it comes as a common assumption that any black person you meet listens to rap. I'm not talking about anything completely alien here. We always make assumptions based on generalizations, especially when those generalizations are usually true. I assume you're a black woman. Would I be wrong to say that you like at least some Rap and R&B music, have ever eaten soul food in your life, and you've ever wore a weave or wig before? None of those things have anything to do with being black or a woman, but I'm willing to bet that even if all these may not ring true for you, they're true for 90% of all other black women.

So even though I don't know much about streaming he teaches me some. You need 20,000 subscribers to get paid through twitch so what do I do I get involved behind the scenes and I post links to his twitch channel on you tube and put a link to his twitch channel on google plus. Also when he achieves something positive towards his goal I tell him how proud I am and give him praise. I think guys like to hear that and love the woman to do that stuff for them.

This video makes me so glad I am one of the few women who has never been that interested in marriage. I am excited that I won't have to struggle to get some reluctant guy to the altar. Still, good information to have. I really appreciate all the information about supporting their dreams though. I just wish guys understood that they also need to support their woman's dreams the same way. I see a lot of females support guys in reaching their dreams, but a lot of times it seems to be part of the female helping to 'fix' the guy so that she can marry him later.

Belloran24 Totally agree 100%!! Some of us have so much going on in our lives that we couldn't imagine having the type of time it would take to follow someone else's rules lol I say live your life to the fullest, make every minute and every moment count and if you find a partner willing to compliment your life goals and plans, then good for you.. but for the rest of those who don't find that partner then focus your attention on yourself, your plans, dreams and YOUR passions in life and live life TO THE FULLEST EVERY DAY LADIES!! It'll pay off in the end.. I promise!! :-) much love and respect to everyone

So true. I had a misunderstanding with my ex's family, and that side iced me during the whole period. My ex did nothing to correct it, even though it wasn't entirely my fault.

Chazz or somebody please help!!! My single friend thinks that it is okay to show a man that she just met online or met while she was out dressed up and with makeup on her uncle face. Okay she calls herself auntie when she is dressed up, hair done and makeup on. Uncle is her without her wig, no makeup on with less than perfect skin. I'm telling her that she has to hold off on showing the uncle face until they get to know her better and they are a little more invested. She thinks that it doesn't matter but I think it does. Please chime in.

I’m with a man who’s family I’ve been around a lot. His uncle is always boasting me wondering why he won’t just marry me. I cook, clean, iron and love well. He has withheld sex, I hurt my back the other day and have been flat on my back with the worst pain ever. He checked on me a few times today, came home and dropped off some food left and he never came back. I had to crawl to the restroom. I’ve never been vindictive towards him but at my weakest he disappears. To an ungrateful and no good man this advise won’t work on.

The first option is horrible advice!! Why would you ever advise someone to be with their "second choice", especially if the relationship could end in marriage? If two people are willing to commit to marriage, which is supposed to last a life time, then why be with someone you're just not that into? People need to go with option 2, put in the time and effort, or else they don't deserve real love. Would you marry someone who considered you a "second choice"?

1st of all a relationship doesn't "end in marriage" that sounds dumb. Marriage is when the relationship BEGINS. It's the beginning of your life together being as ONE & I think you took what he was saying out of context. Try listening again.

I wouldnt want to marry second choice cuz id always be thinking of first choice. Thats not fair to either of you. What if the guy wants to live it day to day and not have bench marks? keep up the effort for you... not for them. Let him know he doesn't matter THAT much that you base your looks and health on his happiness. Look good. Period. That way if he plays house too long... you can move on and pick up mr right without effort. Tell him to spend some time dating other people. This reminds him of what's really out there. and it reminds him that you are desirable. give a man some space to move toward you.

Well, I have most of the points you mentioned on my favor. The only problem is we started dating being teenagers, and yeah, he proposed, but at the moment he was sooo into parties, alcohol and drugs that it would've been too silly to say yes. Anyways, we never REALLY broke up, we split a couple times and we started seeing other people, we never cheated each other, but we cheated on them together. It was like: "this isn't cheating, this is us". The last time this happened he proposed again, but I had moved in with this amazing guy by the time, I ended it with both of them right away, I realized I still loved him but anyways I chosed to remaine single once again. A year later he got married with a party girl he used to hook up when we were not together because she was pregnant with his child. His family adviced him not to, but even when she was like this second option you mentioned since I rejected him again and she loved her enough to marry her, he did. Plus, she was waiting the bb he craved. I was the one in the pedestal, loved by him, his family and friends (last week his mom told me how much she wished it was me instead of her, but I was too afraid back then to say yes since I didn't know if he really was done with his party life). It turned out he was, and he became an amazing father and husband (something he asked me billions of times). We remained friends, and after a couple years his wife cheated on him. I felt really sorry for him, but after a few months I took it like a chance to give it a REAL (and hopefully last) shot. We're dating now: our new begining, we say. The only problem is he is still legally married to her, the little girl lives with her and sometimes she doesn't aloud him to see her. It brakes my heart seeing him so sad when that happens. There's other bb on the way he is not even sure is his, so we're waiting the bb is born to get DNA tests. We want to have our own children too, later of course, but right now things are tough since his ex hates my guts and my mother is going to lose her mind when she knows about all this. He is a great guy and he loves me, so she likes him, but just like a friend of mine! So I guess I will have to make my mind and accept that my mom won't talk to me in a long time. I'm ok with that, I just want to make it work between us, now that we are both old and healthy enough. Any advice to handle this crazy situation and make things work, considering the children well being as main priority? THANK YOU.
