Cool. Thanks for the reminders. I do love audiomatic, the scratches and dirt filters and the radio functions are gotos. You asked for suggestions, so here goes… Input stage gaining is an important one, to roughly balance levels of channels/samples/synths before you even start using faders. Faders should be used as fine tuning and to have channel volumes flow during the mix. Grouping/bussing can be a lifesaver in both DSP and the way sounds interact. You usually want your 8 violins all in the same space, so group em up and put effects on the group - saves cpu and sounds more natural. Maybe it’s worth doing these 6 top tips for different genres. Because each will have different priorities and considerations. EDM doesn’t work at all without sidechaining these days and classical music sounds awful without positioning instruments even halfway correctly ;)

Great that you mentioned the thing about creating an illusion of the elements are "recorded" the same place, or placed in the same room. This technique can let you get away with all sorts of things, like making everything very dry without the track loosing power, or very long thick reverbs (like "tak me to church") without sounding cheezy. Thanks for a great video! You have a very inspiring style and easy way to make complex things easy to understand!

Hey man I’m trying to find a controller that’s integrated to Reason basically out of the box. I have a Novation Launchkey MK3 49 key & a Korg NanoKontrol 2, both of which can control the gadgets in the Master section, but I’m looking for a controller that can control the input gain knobs all the way at the top-without having to map every single one to a knob. Especially since the controller only has 8 knobs/faders and some of my sessions have upwards of 30 tracks. My aim is making gainstaging my sessions a lot easier and faster, instead of having to use the freaking trackpad with my fingers on every single gain knob.

I would like to do the trick where you have a guitar on one side and the reverb send panned to the other side. Does not seem to be a way to pan sends in Reason. So to do this it seems like i would need separate 'verbs for each guitar. Am missing something?

Typical example of being technical and not musical. People confuse producing with mixing because of this concept of work. C64 music composers like Rob Hubbard was musical genius and there was no technicality at all. No offense mate this piece of work I would bin before I start it.
