What annoys you most about the Clio 182?

1. its to loud 2.on highway motor has nice power pull for the 5 gear but its like 3,500 rpm at 70mph 3.its very shaky and bouncy even with sock suspension 4.parts my be issue you need the know what parts you need example say you need new front shocks you have like 3 option 52mm 54mm 60mm you need the do you own research 5.its still a Renault strange French issue are common 6. it doesn't like more then 2 occupants 7. sporty driver eats true tires at a alarming rate 8. like Car Diaries sad you will be associate with rice's but that can be also applied to type R owners ore other hardcore sport models 9.central locking has one Butten some time I forget its open or closed and on the face 2 it does not have a door lock pin or such so there is no way other then door handle check some pros about the Clio RS 172/182 1.its cheap I own one in the NL and here cars are taxed by weight only weighing 1010kg road tax is like 410 euro a year compared to a Peugeot 307 1200kg around 600 euro 2.its economical around 8l 100km (35mpg) if normally driven 3.its great daily easy to park due to small size modern equipment xenon central locking aircon climate control electric windows etc. 4.huge forum support and fan club support 5. the surprise element/ sleeper only an true petrol head knows 6.easy to work it might look scary but its not to hard working on that engine 7.aftermarket parts the aftermarket on the Clio 172/182 are mostly all big brand stuff or quality stuff 8.its put a smile one your face in these crazy time that's all you need 9.its a purist car yes there are electronics but they kept it an minimal hydraulic power steering for better feel cable operate clutch smaller brake booster for more pedal feel sway bars bolted direct on the control arms all to aid for an mechanical feel compare to modern sports cars that's more like an press the pedal an let the ecu sort of the rest please excuse my English its not my first language i own a fase 2 172

Agreed with all of yours! A pet peeve of mine is the cold map and being rubbish until warm. The steering wheel and gearbox. The cheap interior is a bit of a meh subject, yes it is annoying now and then sometimes basic is good and sometimes you just want a little more creature comforts and less creaks. Other than that, I love mine!

As below, cambelt is 5 years or 72k, aux belt system is every 3 or 36k. The aux belt is the killer too, the pulleys seize, belt jumps chews into the cambelt, lunching the engine. Subscribed too now, keep the content coming from another fellow RB owner

You should try the lumpy idle with a polybushed engine mount! I don't really see it as much of an issue though because of how little time I actually spend idling, plus I know that it's normal for the car. I'd probably end up turning it off if I was stuck in traffic though because it may be a little annoying after a while.

One thing to mention tho about the lumpy idle, a lot of people and or shop are messing up the cam timing when doing timing belt services, wich results in a bad idle situation, and too much ppl says its normal even tho it is not. Those car CAN sometimes have slight lumpy idle but its not that bad, so maybe check your engine timing. Cheers from France btw

I still love driving my 182 after 10 years, just having some electrical issues at the moment. I reckon it’s a UCH problem 😭

These cars can rattle quite a bit which can be annoying in town driving.
