5 Tips for Playing RE2 on Hardcore

5 straightforward tips that will really help ease you into hardcore. As someone who went into hardcore for their first playthrough, I struggled somewhat until my experience beat these tips into my head.
I had a completely easier time after that.

I bought the game, I stard on hardcore with the thought, Pfft it ain't resident evil without ribbons. Leon just got up after Adia ran off, and I am so fuistrated, I am in tears. Hardcore plus a blind playthrough is how you get pain.

On hardcore you're better off shooting zombies in the leg and running past them instead of shooting the head sometimes a headshot won't make them flinch

Fully agreed. Headshots and body shots do the same damage so unless you're going for the critical shots, it's better to shoot in the legs.

I mean, sometimes shooting them in the leg doesn’t make them flinch either

SmokeyJoe I wasted 11 shots on one zombie leg and it STILL didn’t fall off... or die.

Ya I prefer to gamble on the 1 or 2 shot crit head pop it makes me happy when I get it

I would guess leg shots in open spaces and a shotgun blast to the head in tight ones.

As someone who has beaten the game 4 times now (on Standard) and unlocked the infinite pistol, Hardcore is STILL kicking my ass. But these tips are definitely handy. :) Thank you, sir.

I beated the game on hardcore a ton of times it's super easy got both the infinit rocket and minigun

EXCELLENT tip video, mate! I think what you've gone over in this vid will help my out alot. I only have (2) remaining achievements in RE2 and they are beating hardcore for both characters. Cheers! P.S. - Digging the house music BGM in the video.

I used the grenades on G 4 and it worked wonders. I'll use them like that more since I always seem to have more heals than ammo. I have a had time aiming. Lol

Just beat Hardcore with Leon and Claire. The boss fights (especially for Leon) was hard as hell, but if someone like me can beat hardcore, I am sure you can.

2:13 the knife in re 4 disagrees

Yeah If you know what your doing,you can stun lock 4 enemies, keep them on the ground, active melee with it. its also the best way to kill Krauser or regenerators

Got infinite mp5 baby, claire was the key. Leons much harder.

I agree with you. I got my S+ with Claire since I find the grenade launcher, SMG and sparkshot more useful. Each of those weapons feel like they can handle a greater variety of situations compared to Leon's.

I found it easier with Leon cause the shotgun is money for me with all the bosses in hitting their eyes.
