Your tips are on point! You don't need the equipment that has hype. Your skill level is greater than a tool. Well stated my friend.

Same here. I’m too old and body falling apart now, lol. I watch Josh’s videos so I can keep up on my personal vehicles. But had these videos been around 35 years ago, I would’ve loved to have started doing detailing as a side business and who knows where it would’ve gone from there. I really enjoy learning from you Josh. Thanks as always.

Great Video Josh. I needed this. I recently put in my 2 weeks at my corporate job to go fulltime with my detailing business. I'm going to look into this pocket suite system. I would love to see more business related content but I'm grateful for whatever content you provide to us. Thank you

I quit my construction job in November 2021. Lived off of savings through the winter while preparing my mobile detailing business with my wife. Bought everything we needed to start out and Advertised on Facebook while also dropping 5000 flyers in mailboxes and on windshields and then officially opened for business in March 2022. We are growing strong and loving running our own business. You got this

Thank you for the vote of confidence and releasing this video. As someone who has already been in the trenches and experienced it, I love your perspective and positivity. Hard work pays off and it shows from the body of work you produce and the youtube videos you made. I always look forward to watching your videos and learning. One of my favourite channels that I love to watch as I am embarking on becoming a weekend warrior while having a full time job. Thanks Josh 🔥🔥🔥🔥

I’m coming up on retirement in the next few years from my long term job. I’m seriously considering starting a car detailing business when I retire to stay busy and make some money. I really enjoy detailing my own and family member’s cars.
@imjoshv5 ай бұрын
That sounds like a great set up! You get to do what you enjoy and make money as well. It doesnt sound like it will have to produce a certain amount of income other than just some extra money. And its also a great way to keep moving!! I wish you all the luck and let me know if you ever have any questions

good question ha.. i dont remember off the top of my head. I use an Insurance broker that shops what i need around for me. I think Lincoln, but alot of insurance companies have pulled out of California so Id have to double check

I’m doing my homework before I step off and start a detailing business. I’m about to buy a Predator generator. I’m 99% sure I would get the 5000. Would you get the 5000 or stay with the 3500? Could you do a head to head challenge so I could see the pros and cons?

Excellent video and information, I'm just getting my business up and running, I got business cards made since I meet people that ask for a way to get a hold of me, I'm not mobile but if a customer wants me to come to their house I ask if they have a water spigot and electrical outlet, do you think that's ok to ask? David's Detailing
@imjoshv5 ай бұрын
Yea for sure. I always come with everything I need but 70% of the time is a new customer they always tell me where the water is. I dont need it but it seems like its pretty expected. Just let them know before hand to be safe. Some areas have better water than others so you may want to look at a deionize set up that you could hook up between the water source and your pressure washer

Hi Josh, Would you please do a video on anti-vibration gloves, latex gloves (mil.?), knee pads and sturdy stools? Also when you should use respirators, masks, eye and ear protection? I'm a DIYer, but decided for myself when I needed to transition to the above. Many years ago, I had carpel tunnel syndrome. Fortunately, I didn't need surgery. It went away, but I don't want anyone else to get it due to the vibration of polishers. Thnx.

So for those customers of yours who are wanting a ceramic coating, do you do that from your mobile set up? Or do you only do ceramic coating out of your shop? Just wondering of the reasoning behind that? Is it just for quality reasons, to ensure the ceramic is installed properly? Or could you do coatings on site at your customers location ?
@imjoshv5 ай бұрын
I do have customers that will get coating and want it done at their homes. If they have enough space I will still do that for them but I always push to have it done at my shop just cause I have everything set up already!

So you have a general cleaning company now and just want to add detailing in for some vip clients? That sound 110% doable!!

@@imjoshv yes , I want to see how it goes, do you have clients that just need outside cleaning or they want the entire thing? Like detailing inside and vacuum ? I would like to just specialize in coating and wash or wax, Im pretty busy in my cleaning business but I need extra income for other projects

What percentage of your jobs are the basic in/out washes? (listed as premium wash on website) Been debating on whether its worth it to offer a basic carwash service (not a detail).
@imjoshv5 ай бұрын
I really only have that for weekly customers and I require 2 or more vehicles at the same time to make the travel time work it. Most of my jobs are the 299-399 details
