As a Hawks fan of course I wanted to get Bedard. I'm still pinching myself. I've been chirping my dream of adding Oliver Moore for over a month and would have been happy if they traded up for him. The fact he was there and now a Hawk is amazing. The next thing I said was I'd hoped that they draft of decent goalies in the 2nd round. Check. Check. and Check. Love it

I like Cristall a lot and wouldve been cool with the Bedard connection but Ive read more than one review on him that no joke he is rated the worst skater that they have EVER seen. Thats crazy but def a reason why he fell. I like his creativity of Cristall but at least for the Hawks, they are sticking to the if you cant skate you cant play with us plan. Good luck for him in DC though

I was shocked at first when Reinbacher was picked by the Habs. Then after looking into stats and player lists, it is very clear that a right-sided D was really needed and just needs a year until comes to Montreal. I consider that to be a reasonable pick.

I think the caps should be up there as well. Leonard at 8 is a great fit, Cristall at 40 seems to be a steal, and Cam Allen in round 5 as well. Top 5 is arguable, but certainly up there.

People doing winners and losers lists on a draft that was just completed is just a guessing game. If Graviteh did a video like this after the 2019 & 2020 draft he would have said NYR were winners. However so far KK and Lafreniere have not paned out the way everyone thought they would. and a Redraft of both years may not have either in the top 10 of their respective drafts. way to early to do a video like this.

Buffalo Sabres pick Gavin McCarthy lives a street over from Kevyn Adams. McCarthy also played for the Jr. Sabres. I wonder how much that played a role in the pick.

Buddy you have no clue who won or lost, I get it it’s fun, but most of these kids won’t make it for 4-5 years, nobody knows Easton Cowan led the London knights to the OHL championship, 20 pts in 19 games as a OHL rookie, he’s a late bloomer, and if the knights don’t lose their starting goalie to injury they very likely win the OHL crown. This kid is a gamer, gritty, dirty, and loves the game of hockey! Most people hating on this kid have never watched him play.

I bet some people back in 2018 said that Detroit were one of the winners in the 2018 draft when if fact they were the biggest losers in the 2018 draft.

I mean , the lightning we’re losing Colton either way , they couldn’t afford what arbitration would likely award him , so to get #37 overall back is not a bad move. Not sure how that makes them the biggest loser , going into the draft they had 3 picks in the 6th and beyond. to be able to snag gauthier where they did when a lot of folks had him projected to go in the 1st round is great. lots of praise for shaugabay too , I think there were bigger losers this year.

I think Chevy and the Jets had a fantastic draft with some solid picks Owen Sound's sniper F Colby Barlow, WHL Champions Seattle Thunderbird's G and WHL goalie of the year and WHL playoff MVP Thomas Milic. Now we buy out Wheels and can cap a solid week.

Sure everyone feels this way about their team but the islanders have always had little picks and really made some nice pickups late. Lou always goes an overager in the 5th and it that worked out from last year with Maggio then got speedy nurmi in the 4th and that USA defensive defensman Zach Shulz in the 6th

I think Grav is one of the few who actually does a decent bit of research before making these videos, but you still need to see players play 10+ times in their 2 pre-draft seasons if not more to really be able to evaluate players. Scouts not only see them play a ton of games, they also have multiple interviews with them, talk to their teammates/coaches/agents/families to get to know them better and predict how they'll react to different situations... You can't pretend to know players after reading 1-2 texts on only a few of them and watching highlight clips, but never actually seeing them play full games. You CAN'T name Draft winners and losers before multiple seasons have passed. Anyways. Let's see how well or poorly this ages.

As a Leafs fan, I wish that the Leafs had traded Justin Holl for a decent draft pick. You wouldn't get an amazing return for Holl, but I feel that we need him off the team ASAP.

As a Habs fan I am quite comfortable with our draft week. D core is bascially set now for the future. Next year we can take more risks. I dont give a fuck about passing on Michkov, dude has some cool clips on KZfaq(which there isnt much to begin with, crazy how convinced people are hes a star just off that), but thats not all thats goes into drafting a player.

You’ll care about passing on Michkov in 4-5 years. He’s a generational talent. Passing on Wright and Cooley might look bad in a few years, but Michkov is going to look bad. Taking a Late Birthday, Mid Swiss Defender over a Top. 5 Prospect in the last decade is insane. Former Agents turned GMs can’t Scout, Vancouver was the same under Gillis.

I think anyone who does a video like this knows that all this is mostly meaningless and more for fun. I may be off but last year he ranked the Ducks picks as being poor but a lot of their picks from last year are doing fantastic. It's just speculation and for the heck of it. Take it for what it is and have some fun. Many of these "grades" will be proven wrong in time and they know it.

He’s not as high on Michkov which is nuts. Carolina had a Mid Draft. St. Louis, Nashville killed it as well.

Carlson will be a great player for the Ducks but I have a feeling Fantilli was sending vibes that he really didn't t want to play for Anaheim. I'm sure he would have if picked and maybe would have liked it there, but with Carlson as good or almost as good why take the chance on a player that could be disinterest or maybe even toxic in the Lockeroom. Just speculation and I could be completely wrong of course. I think Fantilli will be a high end, maybe even elite player moving forward. I think Carlson has a chance at that too, but they both have different styles. Fantilli will be more of a finisher with more goals and Carlson will be more of a play maker with more helpers. It will be fun to see which player has the most upside in four or five years when they start entering their prime years.

Det quitley picking Aug in the 2nd rd. aparently he has the highst win% in USDP history, Sandin is way too good for where he went....a player for every position PLUS Kostin a bonified enforcer @ 25yrs old, and Yama 24years too young to call a bust without giving up any players! its an insult that the WINGS didn't make the winners list. we added so much.

Detroit should be considered a winner as well! They probably got the best defenseman and goalie in the draft in Axel Sandin Pellikka and Trey Augustine! Also, Nate Danielson, Noah Dower Nilsson, Andrew Gibson are great picks. Plus, they got Kailer Yamamoto and Klim Kostin for free!😂

I have a feeling Michkov would have blown off Arizona. The Ducks were interested but at the end of the day I doubt he wanted anything to do with living in the hot desert. Can't confirm that so really just a feeling. Arizona may not have drafted flashy super stars but the team needs solid players that will help make the team as a whole. I think you got some of that. Flash and popularity don't win cups. A full four lines with a good match of depth and skill do. I think that is the approach Arizona is taking. May not be popular but when it works it's awesome!

This is based on your own feelings about the draftees, which is fine, but I disagree with your assessment. I predicted that Willander will be the second best defenceman to come out of this draft in a few years time after Simashev. Canucks could not have gotten Simashev because he went early, but Willander will be exactly what the Canucks need. My feeling about Danielson is he will not be an impact player. Cam Robinson, the draft guru, had a mixture of things to say about him and the downsides are way too similar to Jake Virtanen's early scouting reports (good straightaway speed, low offense IQ) so I was praying the Canucks would skip him. He can now be Detroit's bust.

I’m happy with what Yzerman did. Danielson isn’t flashy but he is consistent and an efficient 2 way player, which Detroit will need, especially down the road in the playoffs. Also happy we landed a stud of a d-man in Sandin-Pellikka. Plus we got Kostin from Edmonton for nothing. It wasn’t a flashy draft, but it was a solid draft

I like how it turned out but I wanted Sandin @9 i was shocked we didnt get him first. he skates so well its absurd. PPL will end up saying how did he go so low. but Yzerman knows better than me.
