I simmer orange peels and cinnamon sticks and lemon peels on my stove when guests come to visit for dinner. It makes everything smell so good. ❤

Solar lights fit perfectly in an empty 16 oz water bottle. Throw a few pennies in the bottle to weigh it down. Safe for children to carry room to room. Hello from Fort Myers, Florida!

There are two Dollar Trees near me. They have some of the same stuff but one store is a lot bigger. Neither of them have the same stock or I can’t find it in the store.

I recently read to store your lighters upright, so the fluid doesn't leak out. I went thru my stash and stood them all up. Would hate to be counting on them and then find that none of them work. I have a lot stored because I have read they will be great bartering items.

Whole black peppercorns benefit greatly from freezing. They stay fresh longer and the flavor is stronger. Ive been storing them in quart jars when I buy them in bulk, you can also put your grinders as is in the freezer. Good haul and thanks for the content you put out.

Hi..... do you need to use a oxygen absorber or vac seal the jar? Or as long as it's an airtight glass jar is good enough??

My dollar tree food supply seems to be growing and a lot. It used to be just 1 row on both sides now its 2 rows on both sides and another half a row. I'm not complaining. I love it. I also do a lot of online ordering of stuff from them. I know I have to get a bigger quantities but if I use a lot of it, I don't mind.

Howdyyawl from the land down under.love your video. In OZ where we live, making stuff for long term storage is the go. Our nearest store is half an hour away, the big supermarkets are 1hour away. Costco is 2& a half hours away. You can grow pepper Bush from seeds,turmeric bulbs& garlic,onions. We have a dehydrator to make dried produce. Keeps for years. Keeping it real😊

Ours too. The store closest to us now has almost bare shelves because they said the store was closing, building was sold, no new store to replace it and employees are being offered to work at other DT’a in the area.

This is a great haul! You must have one humongous pantry to store these hauls lol. It's good to see the coconut flour there, I'm trying to stick to keto right now. I can never find those headlamps at our stores. If I ever come across them, I'm stocking up! I love it how you will give examples on the different uses of some items. Thinking outside the box is key to prepping. Thank you!

The rope is ok but you cannot melt and seal the ends. Its not the same material as paracord. Great stock up haul. I a, going this weekend to do my weekly shopping. I love DT.

Don’t forget clear nail polish. It is great to put on screws (especially for glasses) to help keep them tight.

Great haul, Jinne! I have *got to write on my list to get some of those solar lights. I keep thinking I'll remember, but never do LOL I did find a couple of the tarps, finally. And matches. I had wondered about those Betty Crocker shears. I need a new pair and will give those a try. BTW, the regular scissors (Jot brand) are good to have on hand. I keep a pair in every room, as well as a couple of backups. I did notice that the last ones I bought were a little smaller. Shrinkflation everywhere.

Howdyyawl from the land down under. Doolar Tree must be a wholesale store for you. We had some like this, called Rite Price. But shut down Bcoz too much competion from Costco.Whayever you can grow,do it. Food in the world is soon coming to a production halt. Small holdings & farms will be the only way to get fresh produce. If youve got a little patch in the yard, use it wisely Grow as much as you can, preserve it if can. Good life is with good food & good freinds. Keeping it real 😊

I sure wish my $tree had gotten in those cinnamon sticks. I’ve never even seen cinnamon sticks in the small spice bottles. We also don’t get a variety of beans, and we haven’t had the pineapple in quite a while. So I look kind of like a greedy goat when I went through the line and I had five cans of pineapple rings. That’s all they have and they’re very easy to cut up and make tidbits. I like it and coleslaw made with cabbage. Very good hall I was waiting for those matches to show up I almost thought you hadn’t bought any. But you had congratulations

Not sure about the cinnamon sticks but we bought some of the ground cinnamon a couple of years ago and it didn’t have much of a cinnamon flavor. Think it might have had something non cinnamon to fill the jar. We tossed it after using once or twice.

Last time I was in the DT I bought the Texas biscuits and we made corn bread out of it. It was ok but I have to figure out what to put in it to make it WOW!

Yes Ma'am. You Never Know what can happen. I love watching your site, you always find so many fun things. I found a Unique Book at a Thrift Store Called Stocking Up, this Book was the 10th Printing - June 1975. Has alot of interesting things in it.. Lol. Stocking Up and Prepping are the Same to Many. Even had Clippings and a few Recipes from the Newspaper but no dates on the clippings.

Since it was my day off, I made myself some waffles from your baking mix recipe today, Jinne - delicious! Didn't taste any different than Bisquick, & I alternated between using syrup & apple butter for their topping...that apple butter will be especially fantastic on pumpkin pancakes/waffles in the autumn. Yum!! 😋

That is a Hardy Haul. Our Dollar Tree has lots of Empty Spaces. Mostly in the Food, Freezer and First Aide, and Medicine Area.

You might check with your Walmart. Target to see if they carry the refill for the lighter. Ours quit carrying it because they were being stolen. I had to go to a smoke/cigarette store. They had plenty. Double check. Don't wait til the last minute.

We have searched for the headlamps every trip to DT. Where do they hide them?? The DT rain ponchos are a great money saver to take when visiting a theme park. Last year Disney parks were kids $9 each and adults $15!

Great haul, Jinne! I have several of those scoops! I keep them in my pantry. I was starting seeds a couple weeks ago, and thought one of them would be great for filling solo cups with seed mix. It worked great! You're right about them stocking a lot of things that aren't food! There aren't as many of the things I used to stock up on. I've been looking for the coco coir blocks, but so far, I haven't seen any. They do have seeds, though, so I've been getting those--still 4/$1!

Speaking of the long lighters ... has anyone seen them at Walmart lately? I used to get them (Ozark Trail brand) in the camping section for $.88 and would pick up a couple each time I went. They disappeared for a while and the last time I saw them, they had been moved ( still in the camping section) and had a price sticker of over $2. I haven't seen then in at least 6 months. My Dollar Tree doesn't have any.

Wow you got a good haul. I need to go to Dollar Tree and look for somethings. I live in San Diego and last week we had horrible rains and lots of flooding, which I’m sure you have heard. Supposed to get more tomorrow and I’d like to be prepared with some rain ponchos.we have a drain behind our house and my hubby goes out every now and then to make sure nothings clogging it

With the cost of living skyrocketing and us normal people trying to budget, it’s forcing us to abandon “one stop shopping”. I now have to go Albertsons, Sam’s Club, Walmart, and the various dollar stores just to ensure I get the best bang for my bucks. Keep up the good work, keep your preps up to include not just food & water preps, but also medical, firearms and ammunition, & fire starting materials (among the countless other preps)! 👍🏾🇺🇸

Hi Jinne! I love your videos. I look forward to the videos. You have a great haul today. I'm going to town tomorrow. One of my local grocery stores has chuck roasts on sale for $3.88, which is a good price anymore. I'm going to be canning most of what I buy. Some will go in the crock pot for dinner Thursday night. I've already canned some this month but it is least plentiful in my pantry. So a little bit more can't hurt.

Chuck roast is on sale here (Food Lion) for $4.99 which is the lowest I've seen lately. A couple weeks ago, another store had ground chuck (80%) on sale for $2.99.

@@linda487nc hi Linda, I hope that at that price you snatched up some of that ground chuck! Usually anymore, that's the sale price of our chuck roasts here in Southern Wisconsin. Where are you at that you have a Food Lion? I have never been in one, and I've lived in a few different places in the country. When I went to get my chuck roasts today, they only had 3. So I took just one for the crock pot because I don't like taking the last of anything. I count myself lucky to have what I do and I want to give other people a chance too. I'm going back to town tomorrow though so if they have a bunch, I'm loading up on it.
