I just played this song for my mom the other day. One of her favorite songs is "Shape of My Heart" by Sting, and I told her Nas was one of the best to ever successfully sample this song.

Crazy how It Was Written wasn’t appreciated because it was the follow up to arguably the best hip hop album ever made - Illmatic. But listen to it now and it’s a top ten classic

When I say I Love Nas, I really do!! I knew since I first heard him n 1993 how special he would be to the culture…Here it is 29 years later & he’s about to release King’s Disease 3!!! He is beyond the GOAT & he is definitely honorable…He ain’t never have to demean women or talk about killin his ppl or sellin drugs to be great either!! Seen him twice in concert & had goosebumps and butterflies each time…He is simply amazing…💯💖🥰

Mostly rap, I turned them all down but I would have done a Nas or AZ video with no hesitation 🤣🤣🤣 I'm glad that Nas has stayed true to the culture and his generation of fans. He's still making music that WE love, real hip hop and I'm always excited for his new and up and coming projects ❤❤❤

Damn!!! I love the growth of 50 Cent. He understands Nas significance to Hip Hop & finally acknowledging it. I always wanted to hear 50 Cent & Nas on a Dr Dre production. That was a missed opportunity due to Nas support for Ja Rule & Fat Joe.

Besides NY State, Life's A B^^^^ where AZ washes Nas, Represent, and It Aint Hard To Tell, wtf else on that bs album that sounds good???? Overrated album!!!!!! Only other song I like on it is the Q Tip Remix to The World Is Yours. But thats not even on bs Illmatic. GTFOHB. Nas fell tf off after I Am. Natradamus was ok. The rest of his catalogue is trash. Including bs Nasir, KD1, KD2, and Magic.

i got a chance to meet Nas back in 2008 in Toronto when he was here for the rock the bells tour. he signed every autograph and took every picture, and took time to chat with us all that were there. 1 of the most nicest humble people i ever met. Great dude.

The first time I heard 50 speak was on Howard Stern. It was the first time I ever heard any rapper speak with any real sense besides maybe Dr. Dre in “The Show” when he spoke about not being stupid enough to do what he rapped about .

There's still plenty that wanna slight Nas but he's literally been dropping albums since 94 and he's coming out with another in November. His consistency, lyricism, vivid story telling is just wild and the fact that he's still going hard as anyone else and still repping the real Golden Age is what makes him the Greatest MC alive, I love guys like Rakim and the other legends but they haven't been rocking its like Nasty Nas has

Who I Rep Wit - Nas ft. 50 Cent & The Bravehearts. That song was meant to be 50’s induction into The Bravehearts but, then 50 got shot & dropped from his label. As much as I would’ve loved to see 50 be a Braveheart, in the end, it all worked out better in his favor. 💯

Nas is it. He fully ushered in modern rap, going a little further than Rakim did. Some of Rakim's rhymes were done in the old style of rap, whereas all of Illmatic still sounds fresh and modern. Just my take.
