My brother is left handed too and he always cut more accurately than me with these blade right saws. He would use his left hand and he could just watch the blade on his line. It wasn't until they started coming out with the blade left 6-1/2" cordless circular saws that I could cut as accurately.

Is there a way to calibrate the positive stops? They are not accurate all on my 5007mga.. I want to like this saw.

Well, for more precise work you'd use a miter saw, you can flip this one upside down and use an angle gauge always.

Doesnt magnesium crack easy?

Pure magnesium does crack rather easy, and that was true for some weaponry applications in the last century. Since then, the metallurgy industry has been making a lot of alloys with different properties, making it stronger than steel, while lighter. The failure stress fractures on those are however cracks, where iron and iron alloys are failing by bending being more pliable metal. I've abused a lot mine, since purchase, but seems to be holding pretty good.

Lots of full blown race cars have magnesium wheels. Metallurgy has come a long way. Just don't throw your saw off a 5 story building.
