Well we love you too! Being a petite woman 5’ 2”. I really appreciate this video. I’m no longer much of a dress person but the black dress is exceptional the slit seems to go up pretty high and at my age this is a no no for me. Love the pants and shirt and the shorts with white top. My lifestyle now is more casual so not much need for😢 dress. However I do appreciate your advising us of all the current options out there for us🎉❤

I just love each outfit you’ve shown in this video. I am petite myself and I’ve always avoided mid length dresses and skirts just because of my length. You’ve proven me wrong !! See, that’s one of the reasons I love watching video’s like yours❤️

Super content for us older petites! As I have long legs for my height I tend to dress to accentuate these and it gets a bit boring. With long legs I have a short body and therefore can look like an apple on legs if I’m not careful. Thank you for showing me some alternatives x

I'm 5 foot tall, but in the 80's I was 5'2 with my hair style! SHOUT OUT to all the 1980's Ladies! My style tips for petites is stick to solid colors and add something like a scarf or hat or headband to throw a pattern onto yourself. A bright scarf tied to your purse can be all you need! NEVER wear polkadots, does that even need to be said? I like mid knee length shorts and just above the ankle pants in the summer, and for the 2 months of 'winter' that we have here in TEXAS, I hunker down in as much fabric as I can, preferably in a red and black plaid, like a lumber jack! I wear mostly flat shoes these days, but I have 'lunch shoes', you know, the heels you put on right before you go into the restaurant! I always wear driving shoes, never the shoes I'll be wearing- I found that to be a simple luxury that I adore. D's fashion advice changed my life last year, and now that I think about it, I've been watching her channel since 2022, so she started 'influencing' me before I knew I needed influencing! I love these dresses but have always shyed away bc I don't think I am able to wear a strapless bra. I am a 36 C and need quite a bit of support. Always afraid "the Girls" will droop in a strapless! Thank you Deirdre for putting this together for us petite lady's. And wonderful to see your named top, very stylish just like you ♡ I used to be 5'2 now at 67 5' nothing. Loved the soft flowery dress so pretty, as you say we can't normally wear the big prints, I did find a lovely one in Phase Eight who do some petite sizes, which is very similar, but cant wear slits in dresses/shirts, so some things are not suitable. Great styling tips, & thank you for your kind wishes at the end very much appreciated. Wishing you the same. ♡♡♡

Great video Deirdre. Sadly we shrink as we get older. I'm 69 and used to be 5'9.5". I'm now told that I'm 5'6". I really loved being that tall but, oh well nothing we can do about it I guess. Ty for another lovely video. So many pretty pieces.

As much as i liked the video, being 5'3.....I wish you would show brands we can shop in the UK at and not online international shipping sites (which you do often)which is just a faff if you have to return the item!

Hi Karen. I do try to show lots of brands that can be shopped in the UK and I include links to UK and US sites as well. Many of the items I use as examples are from shops like Marks and Spencer, H&M, Boden, River Island, Mango and others which can be found on the UK high street. I really hope this helps. XX

Lovely pieces and you looked stunning in all of them! The last time I was at the doctor's, I asked to have my height measured. It turns out I've shrunk 3/4 of an inch from 5'4" that I used to be, so I'm clearly in the petite category now!

Some Asian brands, like Goelia, also design for more petite women. Also, this brand is much more modest, the necklines don’t open to the navel like H&M, etc., clothes do. (I never show any cleavage. Legs yes, breasts No! Certain parts of the body should remain private). I always use the size charts with any brand, and almost always get a good fit, so my returns are minimal in number. I hate doing them so much that I try hard to get it right the first time. There are always some, though, especially with fast-fashion brands. I just got a shirt from H&M in Medium, but it fits like an XXL, the other shirts in I got were in this same order and size fit perfectly. We need new international sizing standards.

Yes, size charts are my problem. My waist dimension is 29 inches and 37 inches for hips. I don't fit in either small or medium size charts of most brands I shop in. I agree H&M linen pieces run large for a size small also. I know linen shrinks some when washed though, so small is ok.

I’m a petite at 5’4”, which is the average height for us American women. But, most high-street brand clothes are made for very tall women, so I shop petites a lot. But, those brands that do offer petite size ranges often don’t offer every selection in petites, or they make them in such limited quantities that they sell out immediately. In high-street clothes, it’s not just the overall and limb length that is too great, also the necklines are cut way too low, the waist is set too low, and there are many other problems, especially for someone like me with a very small frame and narrow hips. I can’t size down below a US small in regular clothes because of a full bust and thicker waist, I’m closer to a rectangle shape than the hourglass/pear that clothes are designed for. So, it’s great to have a brand or two that specializes in petite fits. One thing I love about your channel, Deirdre, is that your shape is closer to mine than the vast majority of other fashion YTers. This really helps me visualize what will suit me, if it works on you, it will work on me, too. Thanks as always for you excellent work🙂

I am just under 5'4." I find that in most regular sized clothing, the sleeves are too long. I'm well endowed, too, 36DDD and most tank tops and sleeveless dresses just don't fit me. I am a rectangular shape, and rather thick waisted. And, I avoid long dresses with too much material as they can definitely overwhelm my figure. Thank you, as always, for the great styling tips and introducing this brand to me. I hope you are having a lovely vacation in Greece. It's such a beautiful country.

I'm 5ft3 been that all my life I'm now 80 and love fashion, however I have trouble getting a dress, I have a long body apparently so any dresses with a waist are 2 inches higher than mine looks silly. I am a pear so obviously I don't have your lovely figure. Any help in styling a long bodied person and unfortunately dresses have to be midie otherwise I'm living in trousers/jeans/crops.. great video

Im in the UK. Petite Studio is American and quite expensive but I like their clothes. Will they post to UK? How long will it take? Isn't there a uk equivalent here in the UK?

Absolutely. Even if a shop offers some petite fits, it is minimal and usually only 1 colour, mostly black. It's as though they think we dont want to be seen. 😮

I think women of this age group would do well to avoid spaghetti strap dresses, usually found in juniors. Constructed sleeveless shoulders are classy and show no bra straps.

The "under" is the issue. I am 4' 11". So even petites are not going to look the same as on you. Dresses and skirts will probably maxis.

Petite Studio clothes were a terrible fit for me. (Size 2P) Bought $600! worth and had to send everything back. I was so disappointed. Some items much too large and others much too small. No consistency whatsoever.
