1. Don’t wait for love. In fact if you’re a sensitive emotional person, prepare to be alone. Make yourself so strong that absolutely no one can destroy your peace. If a person comes along, great. If not, enjoy the company of just those around you. 2. Take care of your health. It’s everything you got.

@@lucassimon9779 hello and good day. I used the term recovery to encapsulate the adjustment I’m making after striving for lofty and difficult goals. I dedicated a tremendous amount of time, energy and resources to achieve things in two professions as a lawyer and accountant. It was a drain. I went without vacations, lived substantially under my means, and didn’t enjoy the simple pleasures in life as much. Now, I’m enjoying activities and a nice lifestyle. To be honest, I believe obtaining what I needed and wanted helped me to relax and smell the roses. I hope that helps.

As a 30 ye old female doctor, my advice to people younger than me especially those finishing high school would be: question everything, open your mind to possibilities, choose majors that really interest you beyond the “title” “social status” “what others think”. Read about other cultures and nations- don’t take your knowledge from news and don’t settle for less than being surrounded by people who respect you.

At someone who retired at age of 32, like 7.5years ago, I can say that leaving a high paying business to live low mid income, but to have all the free time on yourself and your kids, that is worth more than earning 5K-10K a month, but dying inside from the stress and anxiety.

Yeah. I did that. I put all my focus on my job. I’m 57. A job doesn’t love you back … it just takes up the space love would have in your life. It’s easier to work all the time than to develop meaningful relationships. But in the end, it is so empty.

I fully agree, having pushed too hard to assure as a single mother for providing more of a material life for us...now that she is grown my biggest regret is sacrificing our time together. She grew up so independent that now she has little time for me😪 I didn't realize at the time, that her every materialistic wish was provided, but we had limited one to one time! I worked long hours & 6 day work weeks...when home I was exhausted bc I had her at 40...BTW, her father walked out as soon as the pregnancy was verified... she now has her wish for family having built her own. I believed providing was the highest priority, but she didn't realize I worked hard bc I loved her so much💞

Several thoughts on this very honest and great advice 1. Have your own business since companies can dump you at anytime. If you are older when it happens getting another job will difficult. 2. Love your family but if you get a divorce or when you kids grow up and leave, you will be very lonely. Stay in contact with your friends. 3. Have a hobby. A musical instrument, a sport or club or group. Have more to your life than just work and family.

4. Invest in your own mental and physical health. I focused my time and energy too much on my career and only eat to survive without really mindful of what I'm putting in my body. Just like this guy business and side hustle don't go as expected and my health suffered as consequence. It really made me realize how much I took health for granted and how truly important it actually is. Success will take some time and you'll encounter challenges and failures along the way, make sure to take care of yourself always successful or not if you don't want to regret things later.

Seek out more options)" I was 15 when I heard that. And that advice ringed in my ears from back then till now, when I've become 20. She was consummately devoted to her family and a great caregiver, but then she basically had nothing to do for the rest of her life once the family had all moved out and started their own lives. I'm seeing the same thing with my mom's mother. I'm amazed that my own parents were able to balance their careers AND personal lives with parenthood, and be not only good but GREAT at all of them!
