Just found out about this several weeks ago. Nice to know people are reaching out to those who are hurting and pointing them to Jesus. It's easy to down in our own sufferings. It's important to turn to the only One who can carry out burdens for us.

Chuck, I have been watching since the beginning and this episode was, for me, the most heart wrenching and meaningful. The others are very informational but this one really hit home. Way to go Chuck! Keep 'em comin'!

No Paul, Blue Christmas acknowledges the fact that our feelings of sadness and loss during the "happy, joyous" holiday season are perfectly acceptable and NORMAL. When one has lost a loved one or experienced some traumatic event, Blue Christmas calls all of us to be sensitive to our brothers and sisters in Christ who find it difficult to cope with the expectations of the season. The expectations may be cultural but they are no less real when one is dealing with depression.

why ought we separate out those who are experienced loss - which is all of us last time I looked - from those who come to worship the Christ born in Bethlehem? Isn't the celebration of Jesus' birth the very lens by which we look at all of life - suffering and joy - and ought not each and every worship experiences provide ways to engage those two extremes and everything shade in between? Blues Christmas honors the culture's celebration of Christmas not the church's. Change how we worship at Christmas don't add something more to separate folks.
