Enjoy this garage / race shop bench racing session and in-depth feature on one of the world’s most impressive motorcycles, the 575 horsepower, nitrous oxide old school Suzuki GS Pro Street Drag Bike of Brad Mummert and his rider Richard Gadson. This on the edge marvel has climbed the ranks to become the world’s quickest street tire nitrous bike with incredible world record performances in the 6.40s at over 220 mph. It’s nearly the world’s quickest nitrous GS, rivaling the big tire, wheelie bar, Pro Mod Drag Bikes. In this video we will see this amazing Suzuki GS nitrous motorcycle in action against turbo HAYABUSA and GSXR motorcycles, we learn all about this billet, nitrous motor drag bike build and get insight from Richard on what it is like to ride and race this incredibly powerful motorcycle. We meet head fabricator Mike Schultz from HDFR and talk a lot about the special motorcycle parts that make this one-off marvel so impressive. Brad also has his new toy, a bone stock 1980 Suzuki GS 1100 street nearby, which helps us with some interesting side-by-side comparisons. We ask Mummert about his future plans and goals for the bike and some rule changes that could be coming for his class. Make sure to share with a steeet bike fan and leave us your feedback on this incredible bike!

22:41 - He's partly right. Pulling a vacuum on the crankcase doesn't just address the piston movement. It reduces windage across the entire crank-rod-piston assembly. However, the main purpose of crankcase vacuum is to increase the pressure differential across the rings, thereby producing an improved ring seal. That improved sealing allows the use of a low-tension (reduced friction) ring package, also creating a power increase. Would have been cool if you'd asked what that bridge piece above the spark plug is for. A guess would be to stop the plug from blowing out but it seems the plug boot would crush first, depending on what it's made of.

When I was a little boy, in the drag races you would not see many other bikes than Suzuki Katanas/ GS’s, they were the king of the hill still in the 90’s. ❤️ This bike brings me so much memories, reminds me from the red/black Pro Stock Katana here in Finland, which poster I had on my wall over ten years.. 😊

GREAT interview with some great people, ya done real good. There's NO reason to put the GS out to pasture, it's configuration is solid , this proves it will respond to new technology. If I ever hit the Lotto for a stupid amount of money I will have Billet Cases made for the GS NOT to make money ( I'd STILL have a stupid amount, why need more ), but to make things right, other's could set up businesses to repair them, and they would be very affordable. That's why people like me don't win it, I'd be about doing things like that, not DIE trying to make more when I have more than I need. Don't get enticed by some network trying to hire you away from us Jack, this is YOU, you ask the questions that WE have, they are informative racing conversations, not stiff, stupid question filled bullshit, time wasting crap. Rich had HONEST answers, no editing required, makes you respect him that much more. That was great, thank you.

Let's bring a nostalgia prostreet bike class back! The 10mile Road course but the kind of engine rules in this class. I'd love to see that, iv always wanted to build a drag trike for drag week. I also want to see a race series bringing back some of the historic stuff. The twin motor triumphs and harleys, the old school funny bikes. I want to see some of the stuff iv only seen in pictures back burning rubber. Watching from the UK.

When Richard said, “ I’m not sure what it is but until someone goes faster than other people rise to the occasion when they do 60s and 50s and so forth..” What it is is this, until you either BELIEVE you can do it, BELIEVE that it can be done, or you BELIEVE it because it has been done….you’ll never do it!! What is the common denominator here? YOU HAVE TO BELIEVE!!!!🙏🏼🙏🏼 All the best Team Gadson! 🤘🏼🤘🏼

Cycledrag Thank you great video. Back in the day it was said Kaws will get up and get it but they didn't like stopping. The fact is you just simply have to know so learn. People don't believe the G-forces you pull coming out the hole but that's what's fun, that stopping now at 200+ is no joke. It was respectful to hear him say he can't wait for it to be over. Fighting to keep the front from washing out is scary. So be safe and congrats to Richard and Brad & the team and their success.👍

Me too, both , one WON'T DO ha ha ha ha. I began working on an '83 at least 5 years ago .... stripped the frame of tabs and the not required, paint, and blah, blah, blah too many things were in flux, going to try and see if I can get it. There are things that I saw on here from the PRI Show that I want to try on a GS, I have a 10 inch tire 1500 , 1150 frame, 40 mm Lectron running now, NOT touching it other than some carbon fiber and some things I 3D printed. Oh yeah, making a battery too lol.

I get what they have done here, evolving the gs into a super cool drag "pro street" bike. I'm a mechanic that's raced my stock cbr1000 and gsxr1000 and I'm quite keen to build my way into something faster. What i don't get is what is required rules wise for each class. Sounded like the frame started stock and was modified so some of the original metal is there, but apart from headlight and taillight i don't see any other standard parts. appears pro stock maybe has more standard parts than pro street and pro mod is the fully modified? and then where does top fuel fit in that? hard to find info on this.
