10 ай бұрынIn this video the 6.0 Bros take you on one of the first rides in the 6.0 Powerstroke build! It has been 3 years since this truck has actually appeared on the channel! This 6.0 Powerstroke build is rocking a kill devil diesel stage 2 build in a box. Let us not forget the Kill Devil Diesel icon series heads. What is your guess to our 6.0 Powerstroke horse power and torque? We haven't really gotten into the throttle quite yet as this built 6.0 Powerstroke only has 90 miles on it sooo we are taking it slow, but after we get our first 2500 miles on the powerstroke build we will do some good pulls and great exhaust notes. what should it be a 500 hp Powerstroke build, or a 600 hp powerstroke build. the 6.0 600 hp build no matter what will happen one day and I think its more like a 500 hp 6.0 powerstroke build. I hope you guys also enjoy some of the 6.0 Powerstroke turbo whistle and the 6.0 powerstroke exhaust sound.

The fuel guage reading issue is not uncommon for 04.5 to 07 super duty/excursion gas or diesel. The problem is due to the gauge clusters oem stepper motors tend to cause false readings or stop functioning. So its not just the fuel guage.. this issue can effect the rest of the gauges in the cluster. Dealt with similar issues with the one in the 05 super duty I drive. Usually it can be temporarily resolved by disconnecting the batteries & turning on headlights & let it sit for thirty. But if that doesn't fix your fuel gauge.. either its the sending unit in the tank or the stepper motor for the fuel gauge died. Circuitboard Medics offers gauge clusters for the trucks we drive with upgraded stepper motors to rid the issue for good. Thought this could help when troubleshooting the issue. Nevertheless, your truck has turned out awesome & sounds beautiful.. I'm really tempted to get KDD Icon heads for the 05 I drive. I'm just waiting impatiently for KDD to finally get E.O. numbers for the street port series.

Just trying to get caught up on some of the comments I have missed. I did not realize it was a common gauge cluster issue as well. I am pretty sure mine may be the sending unit in the fuel tank so it will be replaced when I do the harpoon mod to the fuel tank. if that does not fix it though I will look back into the cluster issue you brought up that I was unaware of. thanks for the heads up and I love the icon heads although I would give it a little more time since they are still very new to the market.

My buddy had that same issue with the gas tank gauge. He basically dropped the tank. Replaced everything inside. Everything worked fine afterwards. Everything was original so he figured just get all replaced brand new and be done with it.

I figure I'm having the same thing. It was happening on and off before the truck went down. So I'm not shocked that happened

Years ago I reviewed them but they seem to have redone a few things so they are worth another look. I've looked at them for the emissions friendly 6.7 tuning as well

So happy to see the 6.0 back! It’s always the little things due to their age. I’m dealing with a P0336 code now (crankshaft sensor). The difficulty is getting to the sensor and wire harness. Seems like you have to take 10 items off or have child size hands to get to anything, Lol!

Is the crank sensor the one in the front driver side or rear passenger. I did the one in front and it was a bit of a pain especially since the engine was hot when I did that

I am so excited. I'm also excited to really be able to get in and drive but I'm taking it easy right now since the build has less than 100 miles on it

Turbo seal leak on that white puff? Also I had that issue when I had a CCV reroute. Put CCV back to stock and no more smoke.

I am thinking about the turbo seal or possibly an injector that is slightly leaking. Not sure. I'll figure it out but giving everything a few days

No they are not bad trucks. Some people just don't know how they work amd didn't fix things how they should. Overall easy to work on ND make good power.

I was trying to think about this actually last night. It's hard to say since I have been so light on the throttle but it feels like it pulls much harder then before. Still can only do so much with the fuel it has so my assumption is I'm not much higher. It seemed to be about 520 before and I don't think I'm much higher but I think the whole hp curve is much better then before. My guess is somewhere are 530 hp as a peak but I feel like there is a solid increase across the rpm range
