As inhabbitant of Siberia, I adore this patch. Eating buuz, listenning to prideful politicians, riding huge belaz across fierce snow, visiting diamond shaft... then coming home and doing the same in ffxiv?! incredible!

I was waiting for them to see that Buuz scene for such a long time. I was like "Garrett really liked that moment of Krile biting into that Archon Loaf, watch that moment be powercrept in the future.". I love how in other games, you mostly see the graphical/animation improvement in combat and environment, but FF14 takes time for stuff like this. Really adds to making this world feel like a home away from home.

Zero's theme never ceases to be melancholic. Specially the slowed down version brings to mind heroic twins who turned themselves to stone to save their friends...

So uh.... That Goon-Master Dollmaker. If you read several minion tooltip details, you'll see references of a certain Goldsmith, especially on ones related to void-born creatures, and indeed on the ones like Succubus, or the Voidsent Queen from the Sky Pirate raid series.... Man really.... really had his type. There is a surprising amount of backstory on the dude sprinkled in just from the minions alone. I believe he is also partially responsible for Haukke Manor.

If there's any place to have paper bags in FF14, Garlemald is the place for it. Semi-sentient automatons and giant airships aside, they seem to be rather close to our real world in technology. They even have asphalt roads and subways. And judging from the monstrosities coming out of their human/machine experiments, they appear to also have cars and motorcycles. And Sharlayan could easily have picked up how to make the paper bags by one of the Gleaners bringing one along and them analyzing and reverse engineering it.

They are increasing the amount of decorations you can put in a house by 50% with Dawntrail. Not totally sure if it applies to apartments/fc house rooms but I suspect it might, so look forward to that Garrett!

The buuz bread reminds me more of empanadas, which is a baked or fried turnover consisting of pastry and filling. Common in Spain, other Southern European countries, North African countries, Latin American countries, and the Philippines.

So voidsent permanently die, if they are killed in the source, or any other shard for that matter... but what does that mean for their souls? Do they go into the lifestream of the shard they die in? If so, wouldn't that mean that every time we killed a voidsent, a mini-remerging took place and thus there are quite a few people with 8/14th of an ancient soul around and the WoL might even be 9/14th, if their counterpart from the Thirteenth was one of the voidsent who crossed over into the source and died there? Or are their souls sucked back into the void, but are then reduced to background energy, without the ability to reincarnate, while the void is still overrun by darkness?

i think alisaie had more of a "hmm" or "ehh?" in JP, and they adlibbed it into a sentence not realizing its a textless line? will have to double check to be sure though.

Related to the Unsundered Azem appearance discussed around 43:10, I also suggested to my friend that they should also give dialogue options during that appearance, where the player is left guessing for whom the option is for. Is it something that Azem will say, or the WoL will say? Or will both Azem and WoL synchronously say the option?
