Nikita is a breath of fresh air. What a gentle, well spoken, and considerate human. I liked how he matched everyone's energies to make them feel safe, like when he saw how visibly distressed the girl with tryphophobia was and protectively covered up the object.

To me, typophobia isn’t as “weird” as others may think it is. It makes complete sense to me why people would have this phobia. Clusters of small things resemble rashes/disease, eggs of dangerous insects that could cause said rashes and diseases, and they also resemble the aposematic signals (AKA danger signals animals have on their skins/exoskeletons to warn others that they are venomous.) I personally don’t have trypophobia, but I totally get why certain humans are hardwired to react with aversion to this danger signal.

TRIGGER WARNING!!!! TRYPOPHOBIA, PHOBIA OF INSECTS, DEATH DESCRIPTION WITH VIVID DETAILS TRIGGER WARNING!!!! yes, I realized mine is associated to another phobia I have of worms, infestations etc, and of being dead, getting rotten, the post-death experience. So it all adds up. It's way deeper than people can imagine. When I see some hole patterns, it gives me the idea of my own body dead being eaten by insects is gore horror stuff. Absolutely terrifying. Even worse if you imagine being eaten alive.

wow that actually puts it into perspective for me! i’m someone who struggles very heavily with it, even worked through it in therapy because it was affecting my life so negatively. i have OCD and i have very bad intrusive thoughts about contamination so it makes sense why i’m just so afraid of holes. i am ESPECIALLY afraid in holes on flesh.

Hi people! My name is Andrea & I’m the gal in the video with trypophobia! I skipped my part since I’m assuming they show the thing. Thanks to all who have been extremely empathetic and understanding of this phobia. I wish I could say it’s just a “disgust” reaction but unfortunately it’s far deeper than that. I don’t know how to explain it or the why behind it for me, but as far as I can remember seeing clusters of holes TERRIFIES me. It’s been debilitating at times and it does affect areas of my life. To all who have this phobia (or any phobia really) , I send you positive vibes and thoughts. ✨❤️ I hope you find people who treat you with sympathy and patience! & to all who don’t understand my phobia or any of the others, please remember that phobias present in many different ways to many different people. Most of the time we ourselves are aware that our phobias seem irrational or “silly” but we didn’t choose the way our body, mind and hearts react to things that scare us. BE KIND. 💫

Dear Andrea, I fully understand your phobia. I suffer (or just live, I don‘t how i should say it the right way) also from a ‚silly‘ phobia. It‘s called ligyrophobia which means, anything which makes a very loud noise makes me crazy. Means, fireworks, balloons and even champagne-flasks are freaking me out. I‘m really sick of explaining it to new people. They never would understand my fear. But I understand that beeing scared of balloons or anything like that is ridiculous. What I want to say is, i totally understand you. My kind of phobia is really bad and it‘s not funny. I have panic attacts and all that stuff. I would have the same reaction as you had in this video, if not worse. I just want you to know, there are people out there who totally understand you.

The poor girl who was afraid of the smell of newspapers, her story of her parents honestly broke me. It's not the fact her parents punished her, it's the fact they used their own child's specific phobia to threaten and use against her. It's how phobias start or grow more intense as we age. I have a similar story with bridges or going over large bodies of water, my dad would violently shake the car or drive without caution when going over them as a way of getting back at me or just as a joke. I think my point is, it's okay to punish bad behavior but using something that's special and obviously shouldn't be used willinging around a child shouldn't be a considered punishment.

The girls story about her dad putting a blanket over her head and hugging her made me physically uncomfortable. I would hate that. It brought out memories of my siblings tickling me until I couldn’t breathe and I was sobbing. My muscles would freeze up and I couldn’t move to get away. Your body’s natural response is to laugh even if you hate it and you were also crying. They’d say “but you’re laughing!” They would tickle me so bad I would throw up. I’m super sensitive to it now. Like if I’m sitting with my boyfriend and he puts his hand on my thigh he can’t be caressing me with it. I don’t like seeing other people get tickled either. When I see a parent tickle their toddler it makes me tense up and hold my breath just hoping they’ll stop before they traumatize the kid.

Hey y’all. My name is Felicia, the girl in the orange windbreaker. Appreciate the feedback of the video and my phobia of dolls aka pediophobia. It is completely a real thing for those that don’t believe so. Many have a fear, I have a phobia. There was a lot cut out of this video that explained why I have my phobia. Personal real life experiences, abuse, horror films, tormenting, etc. I have never liked them. No, I am not a tom boy. Yes, I do have a lot of guy friends. But, all that is stereotypical. The point really was to face our phobias and some of us did that. I could not. It might of been a $200 American Girl Doll, but with this phobia, I don’t give a da*n. For the people that were able to face their phobias on this line up, good for them, I can’t help my phobia. That’s why it’s a phobia. They are creepy, life-like and come off as alive to me. Again, thanks for your feedback and let’s try to be a little bit understanding for the line up that was able to do this. It was fun, but we also had to do it 3 times. At this point, my heart was racing, my armpits and palms were sweaty and I had to pee, which you can see myself moving a bit to try and hold it. Dolls and Barbie’s and stuffed dolls and all that jazz ain’t for me. Neither are those ventriloquist dummies. I’m not with it. Haha🤣

I have a fear of thunderstorms, due to childhood trauma, I'm sort of OK around people, especially at work or around my nieces and nephews. At work I have to be in control and I don't want to pass my phobia on to anyone else. The last time I was alone during a severe thunderstorm I ended up hiding in a cupboard trying not to cry. I've tried to get over it, but it's been almost 30 yrs and I'm still scared.

I personally have trypophobia and I would like to say that one time I told my classmates at my table about it so they would know and be cautious with searching it up. ( we had a project on phobias and they were especially bringing light to trypophobia ) Unfortunately a girl at my table thought it was funny and drew small holes on her hand with marker. She finished and showed it to me and I started crying in the middle of class and then she said things that really hurt my feelings like, “ it doesn’t even look real”, and “you’re just crying for attention”. I would just like to say, if you have a phobia, it’s ok. You are not weird, we all have fears.

I ended up getting in trouble for leaving without a teachers permission but she also got in more trouble then me. Im just sharing my story.

Omg I share a similiar story, I was in math class in higschool, I dont remember how we got on the subject but i told the 3 people I shared a table with I had a fear of dots ( not knowing about trypophobia) and they laughed and I laughed it off too. So later in class one of them passed me a note and he drew Santa in very small circle, so I jumped out of my chair and screamed. I got a warning from the teacher. Then another one just drew a cluster of circles on the desk and I screamed again and got kicked out of class 😔 They apoplogized the next day but the damage was done

So I have something similar to trypophobia. It's not so much holes that bother me as much much as it is looking at organic/growth-like repeating patterns (especially anything that resembles material under a microscope) and looking at fungi/mushrooms. My back crawls with an itch that spreads through my body, and my arms get goosebumps. My fingers want to curl up. I've been like this every since I was a kid. I never opened my biology textbook because of this.

I've had trypophobia ever since I saw a dead rotting sheep when I was a child (maggots, I don't think I have to describe it to you), and it traumatized me for life. Just seeing clusters of holes makes me wanna rip my skin off, especially the skin on my hands, and it does effect me in my day to day life as well. It's very real! and it's not just "disgust", it can legitimately ruin my whole day and make me physically sick. I wish more people would take it seriously and put trigger warnings and such.

Omg i had an experience like that and seriously anything that's clustered holes i can barely keep it off my head Everytime i see something close to it i try to close my eyes but i can still visualize it and i can't stop not thinking about it I itch everywhere and get goosebumps. It literally ruins my day

i’m glad someone else has expressed the feeling of irritation and itchiness and overall discomfort in their HANDS!! i have bad trypophobia and whenever i see holes it makes me want to rip off the palm of my hands and i really have no idea why. it also affects the rest of my body but hand specifically the most I’m not sure why

Nikita is such a kind and gentle person. I love how he fully covered the trypophobia trigger object so she wouldn't see any of it.

I've been absolutely *terrified* of dolls since the 3rd Grade, I would have had a baby panic attack just from looking at the ugly thing, so I completely understand her pain

for me it's the opposite :D except I definitely don't fuck with any bad energy demon spirit dolls but I honestly find a doll with a friendly, good haunted spirit kinda wholesome ! sometimes antique dolls are kinda scary but I find them pretty as well :)

I can't stand dolls either. I know someone who has over 100 dolls on display around her house, and it makes me wanna run away and scream anytime I'm there

The person with the doll phobia is right, dolls are creepy. But the simultaneous kick and “whoop” was absolute perfection!

I have trypophobia, and I didn’t know it was going to even be in this video. I almost started crying when they pulled the image out. I had to put my phone down. I can’t even think of holes packed together without getting goosebumps. I’ve had the fear since I was a child. I remember telling my mom about it when I was about 6 or 7 and she said “well just done think about it”. My husband tells me to just get over it or breathe through it. I hate when people ask me WHY I have it. I tell them that a phobia is an IRRATIONAL fear. I can’t explain why but it is terrifying. I hate it. I’m shaking even thinking about it.

there are therapists who can help you through these phobias, one of my old therapists helped me a lot. i would damage my body whenever i saw them, and it was affecting my life so negatively. i still have this phobia, but it is a lot more manageable since going to therapy.

5:49 When I was younger I used to help my grandma in the garden there were many snakes. She put some metal mesh thing around the bottom of our patio and the snakes all died and left our yard. Haven't seen a snake in like 10 years now

I have trypophobia and when I saw that, I immediately felt my whole body tense up and felt as if my whole body was covered in clustered holes so it’s a big NO for me to see those things and I try my best to avoid them at all costs.
