As a woman, my T was low after years of inactivity due to chronic pain of 15 years from torn tendons. 3 different doctors could not help my pain and did not care that I could not be active and I was quickly becoming weak. I was told pain is normal as we age, I was 42. I changed doctors. They check my hormones and vitamins. Took the T and vitamin D for 4 month before I started to feel better and started sleeping well. At the same time I found Mind Pump and started with light weights to learn the moves. As I felt better and got better sleep, I was able to increase my weights. Then I reversed diet with high protien and have repaired my tendon. My T levels became so high we stopped TRT and I am maintaining my levels. Pain at rest was 4-6 out of 10, after about 3,000 steps my pain was 8-9. Now no pain until I walk over 13,000 steps or do an impact activity like running or jumping. It was a great tool to improve the quality of my life!

58 years old. Have always been active my entire life, including wrestling for many years. Love the gym and gym atmosphere. BUT...I went through a rough time for about 6 months both mentally and physically (as in...not leaving my house unless I had to...including no gym). Luckily for me...a friend of mine (who is a competitive bodybuilder) just opened up a 'health' clinic with a doctor friend and after having blood work done...my testosterone was (as to be expected)...very low. Currently...I'm recovering from Covid and feel like SH*T but once I recover...I'll start my TRT treatment. In the meantime...this is great INFO!

Subcutaneous vs. intramuscular is also a huge difference. I was injecting in the thigh twice a week. Switched to the butt about 18 months ago and feel so much better. I was retaining lots of water and had higher bp and high estrogen

@@joecuster6926 first of all get bloodwork, your problem is maybe not low T, can be low thyroid, exhaustion, lack of sleep, diet, liver or and kidney issues, low red blood cells, stress, anxiety, depression… see a lot of things to take in consideration. Again bloodwork will tells you a lot.

For the non-novice lifter training 5 times per week is quite doable. Overtraining is a difficult thing to attain for the advanced lifter.

Minimal drop due to today's obesity. No further decrease. Marketing invented by TRT clinics. People never had 800 or 1,000 levels on average as the marketers claim. Average levels of young healthy men have always been 400 - 450 ng/dL in the morning, on average.

I am overweight and I was on ozempic for a while and I did lose weight but my health insurance stop covering it because I'm not diabetic. I learned that my insurance does cover TRT. Should I try doing TRT? I'm sure my testosterone is low cause I have all the symptoms. Getting tested this week

Suggest complete blood panel. Low iron, low thyroid, can also cause, extensive fatigue. A complete blood panel is your starting point . Good luck

Any update? I did Wegovy but wasn’t having great results. Most all symptoms of low T and got tested and was at 100. Long story short, I get my first shot next Tuesday at a Urologist. Probably should have used a clinic but went through my doctors. Took multiple test before they would cover it over a couple months period. 100mg per week to start. Doctor wanted to do 200mg every other week but I had him switch it. Hoping it clears up all my issues and gives me the motivation to start moving again.

Don’t go by “numbers” go by symptoms or how you feel. I can feel like garbage at 400 and you can feel great everyone is different.

Simple explanation for the decline in T: the body attempts max efficiency at all times and has a use it or lose it approach. With this in mind, the body is not going to produce much T for the average 27-year-old who is likely spending most of the day in doors, sat down, alone, on social media/video games, eating junk food delivered to the door...etc you get the idea. Then, once this 27-year-old gets to 40 and wishes to start sorting his life out, the mechanisms to produce extra T are just not there. There is research to suggest that just being around the opposite sex increases T levels....and human evolutionary wise, you would hope this would be the case. As always, the best answers for the MAJORITY of people, are the simplest: get off the screens, get outside, eat chicken and broccoli, and get lifting heavy!

I’ve been on TRT for 7 months workout is 2-4 days a week. I lift light. 12-15 reps 4-6 sets. Then if I have anything left I just ruin whatever I’m training with slow reps. I’ve leaned out. This has been my goal. diet is 7/10. No cardio. But I walk about 20 miles a week. Should I go heavier? I’m happy with the results so far.
