One of my co-workers is one of those people that can't read people and it's so bizarre. He'll start talking to you and can't tell you want to be left alone. Even after you tell him like hey I'm busy he'll acknowledge it and then keep going. Then on top of it even if you try to humor him... When it's your turn to talk or 'relate' to what he's saying... as soon as you start you talk he'll talk over you and cut you off mid-setence, maybe he will let you finish and then start talking like you never said anything, or literally just walk away as you're talking. It's beyond weird and annoying. Certified maniac. Well because of that and other features of his personality I believe he's a textbook narcissist.

I'm from the UK and not long out from a 7 stretch, starting a fresh again. Feel for the guy with the farty pad mate! I had a pad mate in my last jail who had a bad arse like that! Nightmare bro. A proper test of my patience I tell you. During the corona lockdown too, in a B cat local which is like supermax over there. 23 hours a day lockdown, many days the full 24, so no peace from it. Also what you said about jails resembling psyc wards these days over there, same over hear. Jail has changed a lot since I first started going in back in the early 90s. It's not what it was or I've changed! Grown out of it and grown up! Anyway keep up the good work, onwards and upwards 👊

@@lotsapoppa994 I think he meant focus. Focus is a bit different than just being able to do something. You don't need to focus to be able to walk or blink so you can easily do both. But there are things that take focus or a lot of usage from the brain in order to actually do and not half ass. Like, you can't type and listen or read in detail at the same time. One of them will have less focus than the other. I know there is context where you can but for the most part you can't have two in depth seperate conversations at the same time unless you shift your focus. But that's not doing it at the same time. Some things require undivided attention and stuff like that is typically one of them. Another example is in games if something is really difficult you begin to focus and block everything out. You can't focus on a conversation while in that mode or anything else that takes a lot of concentration

This 'Head Honcho' thing is true. I was homeless a long time ago and the guy who ran the shelter at night belonged to the Hawaii Boys, the gang that actually ran the homeless shelter. I was working full-time on Swing shift and I came back late and he challenged me at the door, saying, "Hey, I'll let you in but all I want is a soda pop", gesturing towards the pop machine. I immediately said no, politely,, and stood there and stared at him. He paused for a moment and let me in without me buying him anything. They were only 50 cents but it didn't matter. All I could see was paying him money every night and I was only making $4.00 per hour, which is guaranteed to keep you homeless. So, early on I was working the Graveyard shift so I was allowed to lay on the floor with a sheet during the day when all of the regular homeless were forced to leave. This did not go down well with the actual Hawaiians that lived there permanently. I was an uppity haole. The guy that ran the place stood up for me though. I was laying there on the floor with a single sheet over my face and upper body and everybody was there. I could see through that sheet but no one ever knew this. He stepped up in front of all of them and he pointed down at me and told all of them that I was the best haole in that place and that I was to be left alone. They did as he said. What a wonderful experience that was! I thought I was a nobody. Especially a haole like me, a White man from the Mainland. We were hated and despised. And on top of all that I was a Security Guard! I was kind and polite to everyone but I didn't put up with no bullshit and they respected that. I am thankful.

Carved game pieces out of soap and made dice out of toilet paper paper mache. An urban dictionary of words you hear in the block.

About 3-4 months later COs came in, saw it was anarchy, told us to straighten it out, we had an hour, and I moved into my new, single man cell. If you haven't guessed they were clowning me but at the time I didn't know nor care. My celly was on disability or something and had steady money on his books so I ate good. Barbiturates are primarily used as a seizure medication. Phenobarbital is an example. I love your channel! I love what you are doing. I have never been locked up but every single member of my family except my sister, my grandma, and me have either done time in jail or prison and so has everyone I grew up with. And I think the way prisoners are treated in America is disgusting. And because not everyone knows an ex con, it's been easy for society to ignore all of the inhumane things that go on in there. But with Jail TikTok and channels like yours, people can hear and see what's up and they can start to prisoners as human beings. That might change the perceptions people have of the entire system in my opinion. Plus, you can kind of prepare people who are unfortunately about to do time. You have a wonderful story to tell because you were able to turn things around. Now you can be inspiration for others coming out to see that change is possible for them and they don't have to stay on the road that led them to prison in the first place.

Yea my dog takes phenobarbital for seizures. Sometimes I’ll steal one to treat my anxiety attacks. The dog doesn’t go without it, his vet overprescribes the stuff so it’s not like I’m putting him at risk of a seizure by denying his meds.

The bologne tray was my favorite tray. It always traded at a good price. You could get a bologne lunch tray for like 2 ramen or even 1 ramen. Which was such a good deal considering the real nutrients.

Goldmouth : Hey, girl! You gon' eat yo' cornbread? Claude Banks : You talkin' to *me*? Rayford Gibson : Yeah, I think he's talkin' to you. Claude Banks : Uh, no. Not at all; I want you to have it. Uh, Willie, you mind passin' this down to... Rayford Gibson : Hey, no, don't pass your cornbread to him. That's your cornbread. Claude Banks: Ray, I'm a grown man, okay, I'm not gonna eat this cornbread, if he wants the cornbread, damn it, have the cornbread! Rayford Gibson: No no, if he wants some cornbread, let him go up to the front and get his own portion of cornbread, that's your cornbread, f-ck him. [to Goldmouth] Rayford Gibson: Hey, man he gonna eat his cornbread, all right? F-ck you. Claude Banks: Ray, look, I don't need you to take up for me, I'm all right, I'm a grown man, I can handle this. Rayford Gibson: If you let him have your cornbread, you're gonna be ironin' his drawers and clippin' his toenails.

I was in isolation for over 30days and when they took me out it took over a year to get mentally back. I hallucinated and lost track of reality. They took me out and was hospitalized for a few weeks until I came around and stopped hallucinating. It’s been 10 yrs and I have turned my life around but I am not the same and have serious mental problems now.

I was a fresh 18 first time I went to jail. 20 cells and 3 people to a cell, 2 on the bunk and 1 on the floor between the toilet and the window. I went in the pod at like 3am. Got up, ate, rolled up my cot after and jus sat on top of it, arms on my knees, really jus chillin. Bottom cellie looked over and said "you aren't gonna cry are ya" 😶

I just know I'm glad that women's prison isn't as bad as men, especially when it comes to gangs. I was at CMCF in Rankin, Mississippi. Now, I can say when I first got there as a yellow jumpsuit before classification, they threw me in C zone which was full of red and white. Technically, we weren't even supposed to be in there, but they had an overflow. My daddy called up there, and called up there, and called up there until finally I got pulled out and put into A zone; what we called the nursing home lol It was quiet and it was mostly older folks and people with medical issues. We had a big horseshoe shaped dorm, and on Friday and Saturday nights it was almost like a sleepover. We'd get our preferred substances, watch movies, walk the dorm, do hair, tattoos, do our makeup; just for a little bit of normalcy. I definitely made some friends while I was there but I definitely don't want to go back. Oh yeah and the girl that I was staying with a few months earlier was there because she got arrested while she was gone from our room and then I saw her ass in there across the hall from me. She was flabbergasted that I was there. It was both our first time in prison and my first felony. Got caught up with some girl that had dope on her, and I never even laid eyes on it. It wasn't even my DOC.

Some states the juvenile centers are WAY worse than the adult facilities. Florida is the main example. TOHs and more violence especially if you know your going from the juvenile to the adult soon, they want to make a big impression hoping that it will come with them when they switch.
