Older SSBN's had the same issue of fitting large missiles into the sub. The designers usually got around this by incorporating a sort of box shape, jutting out of the sub, aft of the sail. You could do something similar on your sub. And fitting your periscope through a sail should give you more room for an extension so that you can raise the periscope from a lower depth. Hope this helps.

I feel like Particle Cannons are under-represented in FTD so I'd love an addition of a particle cannon to the craft. Maybe something for close range operations when enemies can't even see you. I once made a design with the melee particle cannons facing upwards like a dinosaur's spinal sail which would just drive underneath an enemy and basically saw it in half.

Idea for new weapon: have a section of the sub containing the nuke missile with bay doors that open and then the holder of the nuke rotates and points the missile up.

Lost my dad, my three dogs, my girlfriend, my 16 chickens, and my pet turkey. Oh also my parakeet passed away. Also... An open letter to Lathrix: Lathrix, Your cheeky reminders to like the video is something I actually find useful. I love your vids and try to like every one I watch, but I am a very forgetful person. I remember in the past you mentioned how wrong it felt to you to say it, and I can definitely understand, but in your case I appreciate you sticking through with it since it allows me to support you how I can. In the future when I can financially support it, you're definitely my top pick as someone I'd be a patron for. I hope you'll consider making a Patreon because I think I speak for a good number of your viewers when I say I want to see you succeed. In the past you've made occasional mention of irl hardships which have caused you stress and forced your release schedule to slow down. I very strongly understand the feeling of not wanting to ask people for money, to a point which is probably unhealthy for me. Given the choice though, I'd want you, my favorite content creator, to be able to use such patron funds to be more fulfilled and live a more stable and happy lifestyle rather than use it to pump out more content while still bearing much stress and uncertainty. More of your videos would just be a bonus to knowing my money was helping, and I'd bet that I'm not the only one who feels this way. Lastly, if I have your attention for this long, in your extra side time (I wouldn't want it to take away from the series that earn you income) I'd love to see you produce a tutorial series for the various elements of your design process in From the Depths (and maybe also various other games). Love this submarine. Long-range scouting missiles, rapid-fire gattling railguns, and a railgun with an almost illegal muzzle velocity. Blood for the Blood God! Skulls for the Skull Throne! Milk for the Khorne-flakes! Butter for the Pop-Khorne.

Handy tip, if you can get the velocity similar, you can have different autoloaders loaded with different types of rounds. Mixing rounds in high ROF miniguns is fantastic, because you can stack benefits of things like tracers and the shield busters, by only loading them into a single autoloader. Mixing small-size hollow point tracers, finned EMP rounds, and HE/HEAT is my personal favorite.

I think I like it for these types of videos being post commentary! Not only would it be easier to make I think a lot of other viewers would love it! Regardless, your content is fun to watch Lathrix! Hey lathland, had a great idea on what you could do between the space and sub , what if you build a sub brawler that devours the enemy from underneath while your up in space drinking a whisky with whatever armament you want on the spacecraft

*@Lathland* *12:00** Can you put a whole weapon system on a spin block?* Then you can build & store it horizontal, then in battle you will "deploy" it, which rotates it upwards to a standing position, so it sticks out though some kind of roof hatch. (or rotates it to a 45* angle, so the missile get a speed boost too, for those shots that require longer range than if you deployed it to 90* angle instead. 2 firing modes)

Lathrix, I have an idea: Since you want to keep extending your submarine, consider- A submarine train. Different sections linked up, with engines and your living quarters at the front, a car for missiles, a car for the railgun, and you can extend it as long as you want, installing more propellers or jets at the front...

I feel just like a massive single shot per fight or at least very slow fire rate weapon that lifts up out of the hull would be very very fun against large ships. Edit: I would assume surface use only, and primarily, if not only, for use against surface targets.

Here are my ideas to add to the submarine, you can make mini subs with lots of armor to attract attention from you. They connect to you out of combat to make 1 big ship then disconnect in combat. you can also add scatter/interception missile and have small deployable torpedo to attract enemies. You also have thin armor and you are to slow to out run enemies who have the abilities to do damage. Hopefully these are helpful to you I never played it watch others. Love the videos.

Scalpel-type weapons are so fun to use when you're piloting the craft. And yeah, the cluster mines are hard to apply in practice. Especially explosive ones that throw off other minelets with their blasts.

As a sadist myself, lathrix's videos are so satisfactory.

Next weapon you need is a 500mm railswarm. Essentially, many 2-3 module shells, large rail capacity and large rail yield, make it shoot at least 20 shells like a shotgun at once. Add a squash head (the one that deals impact damage) and shred enemy ships in one barrage.
