Oops, looks like I missed the Rod Bolt Torque Specs in this Episode. ARP 2000 Rod Bolts are Torqued: 44 in-lb 15 ft-lb 30 ft-lb OEM Bolts are Torqued: 44 in-lb 15 ft-lb Tighten Additional 90 Degrees

Something I learned in school that you did differently was when uninstalling the crank caps to go opposite of the torque sequence because your taking if you’d want to go opposite torque. Just something I noticed, great video awesome to see someone rebuilding one of these engine!!

more people should get into this stuff if they like cars, just pull a motor out rip it apart and see how it all works infront of your eyes, i recently did the headgaskets on my friends 2.5 subaru , after finishing i want to buy more blown motors and stuff to rip apart and rebuild, its a fun process learning and doing it yourself. Good video, maybe one day ill be doing this to my evo haha, hopefully not anytime soon if at all.

Hi Devin, I blew my motor recently due to Detonation, I would like to know if you replaced your Crankshaft? I'm not sure if I should or leave my stock crankshaft and Forge the Rods and Pistons only.

Great vid so far, very accurate. I drive a 2011 2.0l Lancer GLS (South Africa spec 156.9 HP stock) My PROJECT: Boost it to 510 WHP. Problems: Parts are not local, all imports. Quality parts from the US aren't shipped to SA. Shipped parts are UK or Europe, making it un-affordable with the exchange rate. Could you please hook me up with a supplier? Evo X = ZAR800k way over pocket. Via yourself? Maybe?

Dvniemela Yeah, 10k hard miles so far lol. I am a firm believer it's all in the tune. A majority of evo x blown motors can be traced back to a poor tune(not saying that's what happened to your motor since I haven't seen your other videos).
