Takes me back to the days of my 69 Chevelle, 350 300hp 4 bolt main engine, a Muncie 4 speed and a 4:11 posi rear end. Top speed was only about 120 but my goodness it got there fast !

I had a 69ss Camaro, 350ci. 11 to 1s with a 563 intake 581 exhaust, and 300 duration on both. Cam turned on at 4 grand it pulled to 8400 rpm's. Strip domenator intake ,800 double pumper ,velocity stack, ported double hump 202 heads. M21 four speed with Morso slick slider gears, 3500 lb pressure plate, scatter shield, and running 456 gears. This was 1982, I was 21 year's old. I kicked the crap out of every thing in town on the street drags even out of towners. Friday+ Saturday nights were a blast. American Graffiti in Charleston SC.

That sounds pretty damn good. Thank you for sharing this. It brings back some very fond memories that I have of having a muscle car and going racing every weekend. The only drawback at the time I still lived with my parents and my dad used to get mad at me when I would come home in the middle of the night and back into the driveway. Let's just say my car was not that quiet. My buddy put long tube headers and almost a open exhaust and when he would drop me off in the middle of the night the next day I would have to hear from my father and mother and all my neighbors complaining. So that's when I decided to buy another pickup truck so when I went out late I did not bother anybody. I would even wait until 10:00 in the morning before leaving for the track so I did not wake anyone up on the weekend. You know what they say haters are going to hate. Nice. I had a 65 Chevelle with a 337/375 hp stock with a 488 posi rear end, 4 speed Muncie, Edelbrock hi rise and 780 double pumper carb. Been kicking my rear end forever for not keeping it

Had the same cam in my '71 Chevelle with a Holley Strip Dominator intake, 700 double pumper and 041 fuelie heads (really needed to step up to 2.02/1.60 though), needed a 4000 stall to handle the weak bottom end, not a lot of power below 3500 rpm with that cam. But it sure pulled hard above that!

Comp 292 magnum cams are great. Had 1 in a 400 Pontiac in a 74 formula with a 4spd, plus other stuff. Was wicked fun to drive and made fantastic torque.

65 Malibu is great. Back a round 1970 i ran a 440 68 charger on Telegraph Rd in Redford/Detroit. One of these with a small block beat me over and over. Even though it was slipping . From the sound it was a solid lifter engine BUT it whistled like it had a super charger. Dark blue in case your reading this.

Great body style I had a 1964 Chevy Chevelle Malibu SS 327 witj the square tit on the motor 2 speed powerglide desert bronze in color damn nice car chrome everywhere I got it in California found out it was the 18th one made love that car late 78 Keith Black redid the motor for me I was tearing everything up out there 350s 396s or 440s didn't have a chance with that little motor had to grow up and have kids sold it 1991 for $46,000 all original had all the paperwork everything even the paperwork for the factory to making it the 18th one made now it's in car shows know worth 125,000 or more I'll find me another rebuild it make it look normal nothing fancy thanks

Thanks for the video. I been looking at this same cam. I currently have the .480°/.480° 110° Lobe Separation version of this cam in my 86 Monte Carlo. Engine is 4 bolt main 383 Stroker with fully built Vortec Heads with all the goodies, including screw in studs. They are built to handle .520° lift safely. Also running 750 vacuum secondary carb. Car does prertty good and sounds very similar to yours, but I want a little more cam without going too big on a daily driver/street car. Do you think the upgrade to the one you have would be noticeable enough for the trouble? Thanks
