Haha I was actually watching an episode from Season 4 last night, and Sammy Jo and Krystle were having lunch at La Mirage. Sammy Jo was actually eating her fries and cheese burger! I was delightfully surprised. Actors usually just let their food sit there during the scene, but Heather was going for it! ☺

Steven was absolutely right in his suspicions and to treat Sammy Jo like that, but my god, Jack Coleman played the character like such an aggressive douchebag that I felt bad for how she was being treated here.

The entire RITA storyline was hilarious AF. Locklear’s absurd tan and hairdo with that tropical halter are so Malibu Barbie circa 1986. Rita as Crystal was never more so in that blue dress getup. Blake as usual playing the older, wooden, goat 🐐.The child looks like his eyes are black. This entire sweep of scene is pure entertainment with Sammy eatin’.

Heather Locklear's eyes are like Charlotte, the spider from "Charlotte's Web" (1973). Also, that little boy is creepy as HELL!! Those black eyes like from "The Omen" or Chucky the killer doll. YIKES

Why did they colorize them so tanned? I watched the show back in the 80s on TV and they were never this dark.

It was the makeup more than anything. They didn't do such a great job during this season.

Most likely it's the film they used. When they shot Knots Landing, everyone had to wear real orangey makeup, because they were using Fuji film, and it was the only way to get it to look normal on screen.

+Magdalenkaization Heather Locklear totally made the character of "Sammy Jo." I'm not sure another actress could have done it as well as she did! I loved (and continue to love) the "Rita" storyline!!! It's such a laugh whenever Linda Evans talks like "Rita".
