This is a brief overview of the steps to install your new chip. MAKE SURE YOU CLEAN THE CONTACTS!! THEN CLEAN THEM AGAIN!

Why are you calling the ECU (engine control unit) an IDM (Injector driver Module)? The IDM is located inside the driver's side fenderwell and controls the fuel injectors.

Your right, I wasn't thinking. I just changed the idm on one of my other trucks before i sold it. Had the the IDM in my head

That's what I was thinking. It's funny 'cos I just got finished installing Swamps' High frequency/high output IDM a few minutes ago and everytime I logon to youtube, I get suggested videos and this video popped up so I thought I'd watch it and then you started talking about chip install.

I Know, been trying to answer questions and keep uploading videos, I corrected it now hopefully those who watched it aren't to messed up from it. I edited the video I think i only called it a IDM once in the video, and in the title. Thanks for catching it

When you get using the truck let me know how much you notice the swamps I've been looking into it.

Won't really be able tell as I'm doing a complete rebuild. Too many upgrades to list here without sounding like I'm trying to take over your channel but should be in the neighborhood of 700-800 hp once complete. Still waiting for all of my parts to arrive so I can begin. Good news is that the cab is off and the motor and trans are already out. I'll say this though...after I ordered the Swamps IDM, I saw a video on youtube that shows how to do it yourself and achieve 30+ hp for 1$. However, it can't be verified as to whether or not it's the same thing Swamps does with theirs. I know Swamps' reputation is very well respected in the diesel community so I'm sticking with theirs.

1 Electrical contact cleaner will dissolve that shellac in stead of sanding it off. 2, No offence but wires going every which where under your hood and dash would drive me to a mental breakdown. 😂. Don’t let mine and others constructive criticism discourage, you’re doing ok,on those vids, keep,me coming.
