@@sainath_Telugu Well, tracing ethnicity is always a difficult thing, both due to confusing genealogical records and also due to kings embellishing their own records to claim "ethnic camaraderie" amongst their people. So you are right, tracing them exactly to their lineages is difficult. Also, there are two schools of thought concerning the Origin of Pallavas, one going with the Andhra Pradesh Origin, and the other going with the Northern Tamil Nadu origin. Thus, this is not definitely as conclusive as the case of the Thanjavur Nayaks.

If this was the story of the C-virus, then it is an incredibly stupid decision that backfired on the part of the C-country. The fact is, despite the fact that the C-country was declaring its victory over the C-virus, everyone was sounding the alarm that the C-country was massively under-reporting the fatality count, which meant that the C-virus wreaked havoc even on the C-country itself. Some studies even used the food import data to say that the C-country massively underreported deaths by as much as a million or worse.

@@whenyouplaysomthing It would be nice if you can also mention how 'zh' is pronounced, if you want other language speakers to know how to pronounce the words that have specific sounding consonants/ syllables that are unique to Tamil "Tamizh" language. 'Zh' is used when Tamil and Malayalam words are written in English to represent the consonant sound 'ɻ' which is called voiced retroflex approximant.

Sadly, at the time, this movie barely managed to break even at the box office (Budget - ₹80 crore, Box office - ₹100 crore). This was weird, seeing that the movie was so well made. Fun Fact #1: The antagonist in this movie, Johnny Tri Nguyen, had also worked as a stuntman for Spiderman-2. He is great with his Martial Arts form and also in his physicality, as was seen in many of his own movies (Andrew probably researched a bit about him, seeing that he put up some movies in the description itself). Fun Fact #2: Apparently, the special effects for this movie was done by Legacy Effects LLC, the same company that gave the special effects for Enthiran, 2.0, and a whole host of Hollywood movies like 2012, Avatar, X-Men: Days of Future Past, and a lot of MCU movies. This was something that I didn't realize until I actually read about it. Fun Fact #3: The hero of this movie, Suriya, is an incredibly humble and soft-spoken person in real life, and has done a lot of Philanthropic and Humanitarian work outside his film career. He regularly donates to medical research, starred in many documentaries to raise awareness about HIV, founded a non-profit to cure Tuberculosis in poor and disadvantaged people free of charge, runs another non-profit trust to provide higher education to disadvantaged children and refugee children (who fled the violence from Sri Lanka), and regularly donates large sums to disaster relief. If you guys really want to check out other works of Suriya, I would recommend "Maattrran" or "Ayan" (both fun and casual pieces directed by K.V.Anand), or if you guys REALLY want to dive deep into a sci-fi work, check out his movie "24" (directed by Vikram Kumar). I wouldn't give too many recommendations, because it would only confuse you guys.

Bodhidharma (He was Tamil, Indian) was a Buddhist monk who lived during the 5th or 6th century CE. He is traditionally credited as the transmitter of Chan(Dhyan in Sanskrit) Buddhism from India to China and later Japan, Korea and other East Asian countries, and is regarded as its first Chinese patriarch of chan or zan Buddhism . He began the physical training of the monks of Shaolin Monastery that led to the creation of Shaolin kungfu. He is known as Dámó in China and as Daruma in Japan. His name means "dharma of awakening (bodhi)" in Sanskrit.

Apparently, they referred to Bodhidharma as "Bìyǎnhú", which means "The Blue-Eyed Barbarian" in Chinese. So this movie would have been more insane if they had added blue contact lenses to Suriya for selling the character of Bodhidharma even better.

He popularised martial arts in china and fun facts: the oldest form of martial arts is Kalaripayattu and modern day martial arts is more Indian influence by monk Ta mo(Chinese name for bodhidharma). I was so confused cuz even as Indians we associated MMA with china and didn't even realise, this movie was eye opening for me and it got me hooked

we should thank the congress and the liberal historians for that. they completely ignored india's contributions to china and made it all about buddism. India china relationship is much older than buddism but it id made lot of influence. Ancient Chinese schlors had at least 7 different names for Ancient India and even the epic Sun wukong journey to the West is all about traveling to India in search of divine knowledge by the order of the heavenly jade emperor (Chinese version or equivalent of Indra). These leftists wouldn't tell you all these "conspiracy" theories for that they have to admit India existed before 1947.
