As a biker I can say if you want fast acceleration very cheap, you gotta go on two wheels. I got a 106 hp V4 in my bike and even that feels extremely fast when you give it the beans, revving up to 12k RPM. That intense feeling is something an ordinary road car can't give you. For that you either need an italian exotic or a spinning dorito.

I would pick a C6 Grandsport with about 10k in performance mods and a solid tune ;) I love and admire the Z06, but have been attached to Grandsports. Even though I have driven a lot of platforms and trims of both, I just am really looking for a Blue C6 Grandsport.

I just picked up a 2018 Mustang GT Blackout edition with several mods and only 20K miles for $35K and with the mods it's around 500hp. I'm really happy with it. The power it puts out is more than enough for me. And nothing sounds quite like a 5.0 Coyote motor through a Corsa exhaust and headers. This car is an absolute beast. It might not beat a Hellcat or some other high end expensive cars but it can hold its own with just about everything else.

The LS7 is indeed a fabulous motor, I will be putting one of those in my Ultima if I can ever afford one.

I got a Jeep Grand Cherokee TrackHawk from an auction in Phx, AZ for $10k and had so much $ left over to add long tube headers, small pulley, carbon fiber hood and a whipple blower(3.8-1000 wheel/1200 engine hp)right now is tuned to 850 at the wheels and 1000 engine. I bought forged wheels(still being made) and Michelin SS fatties in the rear at 35” and 25”tires in the front 20” forged bronze wheels($7,000-each), ofc it has the yellow brakes and so am applying the yellow whipple! So bronze wheels and black super shiny clear-wrapped and ceramic coated black paint, yellow highlights, and murdered out windows with a pretty nice stereo system

I have a C6Z for a daily driver. The interior, as mentioned, isn't anything special, but I LOVE the car. Just make sure to have the heads fixed as the LS7 is known for valve guide issues and will nuke the engine if it drops a valve. While you're in there change the cam and you have a bulletproof naturally asperated monster! Oh, did I mention it only comes with a manual trans???

Missed very important factor = All wheel drive (not the HellCat, not the C6, etc...)

Oh and I HAVE TO SAY- the years of Shelby’s you showed actually have 750 hp and we’re Ford’s most powerful engine until they built the 2020 770hp Shelby. Only the ‘05-10 were around 500hp-but yeah, you can get one cheap if you search 🔍

The reason the Camaro ZL1 is cause Camaros with that Body design are all built for track use and cornering, not straight line drag races. I have a 2013 Camaro RS and (aslong as the roads dry) i can take some sharp turns at 50-60 and im not even slightly a racer of any kind in any way. And it was only 10k so that says ALOT, i honestly feel if i gave my car over to a professional driver to go around a track against a hellcat, it could genuinely best it without much trouble.

I can keep up with my brothers Hellcat with my 2002 S10 SPORT 350 V8 LS1 Corvette Crater...I've replaced the Hood..Doors..Bed..& Tailgate with Fiberglass Parts...

Because you can both buy AND upgrade the ZL1 and the M5 for significantly less than the Hellcat costs, either one would be my next pick. And... My honorable mention would go to the GTR... The only one I've mentioned I haven't owned or driven. At the bottom of my list would be the 2 cars I've never been a fan of, the Tesla and Vette

Well take into consideration that the corvette isn’t supposed to have luxury interior, I mean its meant to be a track car, not a daily driver, not a cruiser, but a track car. Plus TBH if I ever got my hands on a 2010 ZL1, first thing I’d do is strip the interior anyways because race car and I’m not in the market for high quality interior. 🤷‍♂️ I got my 2015 mustang GT for 28K not too long ago and so far nothing naturally aspirated has been able to keep up with me at all. I will say that I tried chasing down a GT350 once and TBH…… it really didn’t go well for me lol 😂, but that’s to be expected from a supercharged car v naturally aspirated with just a tune, exhaust, and intake, on top of the fact my 5.0 is a 6 speed. Raced a tuned 392 and left that car in the dust with no issue though, same for an SS Camaro, also a C7 stingray couldn’t keep up with my mustang which I’ll admit surprised the hell out of me. Amazing how much you gain from just simple upgrades, I’m sure if I could find a 392 with the same upgrades or an SS Camaro with the same upgrades it would be a pretty close match up but so far the only cars I’ve lost to have been supercharged or heavily modified.🤷‍♂️ and that’s saying something about the mustangs of today and I’m not even a mustang guy, if I could of found one before I got my mustang I would of 100% got a 6 speed manual Camaro over the mustang. But I’ve kinda fallen for the mustang not going to lie. Don’t get me wrong I’d definitely get a Camaro if I run into one I may want but I’ll be keeping my mustang for sure. 🤷‍♂️ to me though brands mean nothing in the long run, all cars have their strengths and weaknesses.

First time on the channel I have to say my Cadillac CTS-V has smoked Hellcats as a matter of fact I started off with the 2012 coupe cts-v and I wish they left that option available bc the CTS-V was killing the corvettes on the track and they have 4 doors so GM asked cadillac how they were smoking the vette bc they have the same engine and caddy simply said our transmissions are better after that the vette was putting out some serious run times like 0-150-0 in like high13-14 seconds if u wanna have some fun go take any Caddy-V badge out for a test drive if u can't get a CTS-V the Ats-V is fast as hell too imo and I was a foreign car guy before the Cadillac now I don't think I can ever go back tbh

Yay honorable mentions returned Brad you're right about the ZO6 it's the lightest car on the list and it has a 50/50 weight distribution thanks to its front mid-engine and 505 HP to the rear wheels with a 6-speed manual that's the ideal deal of the year Brad Danger this car is even lighter than the c8 and it makes more power plus it's 50/50 weight distribution that's a fully balanced car that's better than no 60/40 lol "big fan lol"😁

Personally, I'd redo the same thing i did in 2003. I bought a used impreza, slapped in a bigger turbo, chip, intercooler and some little things, brought it to an expert in tuning to reprogram the computer to get the best power output for the componants that i had and BOOM! 0-60 in 3.0 flat, 650 HP subaru with a sound to die for (scorpion complete exhaust line). I cant remember how much i paid for the car, but the aftermarkets total was around $4.5K (yes, including EVERYTHING, even labor). The price of all the pieces didn't go up (its probably even lower), so is the price of the first year subaru that were legal here in NA (cant remember the exact year, mine was the Impreza GT, available only in europe; the predecessor of the WRX STI). You can have this kind of setup today, for less than 20K TOTAL. With Subaru reliability, 4WD for winter, and room for a family (or take the back seats out to put a mega custom built subwoofer like i did). What could you ask more?
